Linking T-Rudder to Wheel Brakes via another Axis

Postby birddog » Fri May 27, 2022 1:28

Hi,

Loving VKB hardware. I'm getting more adventurous with the VKB Device Config tool, and I'm stumped on an idea I have for mixing the Joystick twist axis with the T-Rudders.

I would like to use the NXT twist axis as the general braking axis, but at the same time combine the input with the T-Rudder for individual wheel braking. Basically just what the T-Link tool does, but allowing binding the rudders to another axis for brakes, not a button.

I think the equation would be:
Left Wheel Braking = NXT_Axis - Rudder_to_Right
Right Wheel Braking = NXT_Axis - Rudder_to_Left

Is that possible?

Thanks!

Using gladiator NXT, SEM, THQ, and T-Rudders

Hmm just discovered "zlink2 v0.7.0". This could be a big step forward, but I can't get Z-Link to recognize my NXT+SEM+THQ yet.

Unfortunately there's no other native utility to connect 2 VKB devices at the moment. You could achieve your goal with a third party utility called Joystick Gremlin.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. I have been trying Joystick Gremlin too, but man the options are not nearly has flexible as what you get with the VKB tools.
