Hi! I have a problem with my VKB Gladiator NXT Premium. It was purchased Jan 31, 2022 from aliexpress. I had not noticed this issue until now because the Twist Axis is not being used before (locked axis) until recently when I played Space Flight Sims.
Problem: There seems to be a problem with the stick centering. It is not centering properly at the 'true' center. only at the sides.
From 0 to 65535 Range. The center "deadzone" is around around 32280 to 33500.
If I come from 0, it will stop at about 32280 only, if I come from the 65535, it will stop at about 33500.
Effect: Slight ghost input resulting in unwanted small amounts of Yaw/Roll inputs, despite at a resting position
Calibration: Does not work,
If I calibrate while it is rested coming from the left, the left range gets centered, while the right becomes offset even more.

On the other hand, If I calibrate while rested coming from the right, the right range gets centered, while the left becomes offset even more.

Calibration workaround is to slightly twist the axis VERY lightly, then start the calibration, that way the offset is balanced between the two. but still it leaves a deadzone on the center (like I said, from 32280 to 33500.), and there is now ghost input (albeit smaller) on both sides

Solving the ghosting issue:
It seems that the deadzone's range is around 1200. Roughly 2% of the whole axis. At my current calibration it is currently .743% to the left and 1.11% to the right. An input of Rot Z Deadzone (Dz Lo) at 2% seems to have eliminated the ghost input.
Hardware: Upon carefully examining the hardware, I noticed nothing blocking the mechanism, no wiggle whatsoever in it. There is nothing but grease on the insides. The spring looks okay. Mechanically there seems to be is nothing wrong. Magnet is also not rotating upon observation, But i still put tissue/adhesive for good measure.
The only thing I noticed is the magnet (1mm thickness, 5mm diameter) having a very very small "dent" at one of the edges. Maybe this is the cause of the imbalance? if this part is replaced with a more perfect shape magnet, is there a chance that the issue can be fixed? I hope you can help me with this issue. Thank you.

At the very top of the configurator, in brackets, the recommended firmware version for it is indicated. Above this version - you can, below - no. Update the firmware, reset to default, in Global-External press the Find & AutoConfig button and only after that calibrate the axes without going to the Test-Axes1 tab. Show a screenshot of Profile-Axes.

Hi! thank you for the reply.
just to confirm confirmation, do I need to update with these versions? (see picture)
in my understanding, I didn't have to update, in which I continued with your suggestion below
1. I reset to default
2. Global-External press the Find & AutoConfig button
-I cannot seem to find the Find & AutoConfig button. I am currently reading other threads with similar problem

Weird. When I pressed Default, and just recalibrated, skipping many of your steps since I cannot find the find and autoconfig button, but when I tested it. the deadzones are almost gone and better than before.
Just pressed Default again for good measure.
The deadzones are completely Gone! for all Axis!
When in doubt, just press default in VKB Device Config!

Your firmware is too old, does not have the Find&AutoConfig implemented, but that is fine. Just don't forget to calibrate after pressing the Default button.
