GF Pro and GF Ultimate with same VID and PID

I have a GF Pro and GF Ultimate. When connected both show the same VID and PID. This is causing issues in multiple games. Both have up to date firmware. I have tried swapping grips, black boxes, resetting to default, updating firmware without any resolution. How do I modify the VID or PID of one of these devices so I can get them working correctly? But they are in the system under different names, you need to choose the corresponding device in games. I wonder what kind of games were the problems in?

No, they show up in WIndows Game Controllers and Games as the same name. DCS, MSFS, SC are all problematic. My understanding is you can't have two devices with the same VID/PID and not have problems. I need a way to change one of them. My LH SCG has a completely different VID/PID and works fine.

Make sure they are on different ports, not through a hub.

Most operating systems can differentiate between identical devices as long as they're on different ports, because they're attached differently (this is commonly called a Bus ID under Linux).

Both sticks are plugged directly into the MB. Having built a number of joystick devices myself using Freejoy and MMjoy having duplicate devices with the same VIP/PID causes issues. DCS and MSFS seem to get confused. I set the controls for both then restart and sometimes they are swapped. My SCG with GF base has a different VID/PID and no issues.

I checked on my system, MCGU and MCG Pro grips, everything is in the pictures. I cannot confirm your words.

Yours do not have the same VID/PID. Mine do. That is the problem I am trying to fix. Same name, same VID/PID. If the VID/PID were different it would work correctly like yours. Can someone tell me how to change the VID/PID?

You can try to clean the registry with the USBDewiev program, disable other devices (temporarily), use more recent firmware for pens. Most likely it's not the firmware, but just in case, you should update it.

This update fixed my issue. With different PID on each device names are correct and they work properly.
