Hi, I wish I could find some documentation but I can't find any manual or video on how to install the new rudders Mk IV with the black box. The best I can do is to plug everything in, flash using the "_BlackBox_MK2_TRudder_v2_09_0.vkb" file, and calibrate. The black box shows a steady blue light on the left and one steady green light in the first position on the right. DCS isn't registering the rudders and I get this really crazy motion when I look at the axis. Sorry in advance if I missed something. Been reading forums all morning trying to see what I must have missed.
Here's a video of what I'm seeing

Re: VKB Rudders MkIV issues
While on that screen, press the Default button, then the Start Calibr button. Move press the rudders left and right a few times, then press the End Calibr. This should fix that dancing slider. When binding in DCS make sure you're binding to analog and that you are in the rudder's section/column.
Re: VKB Rudders MkIV issues
Ok thanks for your help. I tried pressing Default first, and here's the video. When I click calibrate I move each pedal down a few times all the way to the bottom. Same problem unfortunately

What do you mean by "bind to analog"? I bound the axis to DCS but there it doesn't appear show any input.

I also plugged it into my laptop but I'm having the same problem

Re: VKB Rudders MkIV issues
Move the cable and Black Box away from any electrical interferences. Plug directly to computer.
Re: VKB Rudders MkIV issues
Hmmm, ok I've tried 4 different USB ports directly on my pc. The black box has been moved around to different locations. Should I try a different cable? Not sure if I can try a different Ethernet cable or not
Edit: I found some old extra cables. I tried different cables for each one that goes into the black box. I reset to default, re calibrated, and same issue. Should I take apart the pedals?

Re: VKB Rudders MkIV issues
Do you have any modems/wi-fi extenders, wireless stuff around the computer?
Re: VKB Rudders MkIV issues
I unplugged and turned off the dongle to my wireless headset. I'm about 10ft from my router and my pc does not have a wifi card. I rebooted my pc and laptop too. I just took my laptop to an isolated room with no electronics, re-flashed the rudders using the "_BlackBox_MK2_TRudder_v2_09_0.vkb" file, and once more loaded the default profile and recalibrated. Same issue still. The rudder axis is jittering all over the place

Re: VKB Rudders MkIV issues
Try to open up and see what's inside, maybe there's some metal shard attached to the sensor's magnet.
Re: VKB Rudders MkIV issues
I appreciate all the help here. After spending half my day off troubleshooting I think I'll look into the returns option. Maybe this is a sign to try some other rudders I was considering as well.

Re: VKB Rudders MkIV issues
Let's try a different firmware, attached; just download, unzip and flash. Press Default button afterwards and calibrate.
Btw, which firmware did they come flashed with, do you remember? And were they acting the same with the original firmware?

Re: VKB Rudders MkIV issues
Any resolution to this issue? I have exactly the same problem with my brand new rudders that arrived today.
I tried a number of things to fix, flashing firmware etc, plugging into my MCG U box, nothing is working. I pulled the thing apart and nothing I can see without fully pulling the sensor apart.
Do you have a proper document on how to disassemble the sensor to make sure nothing is stuck in there causing the problem?
thanks

Re: VKB Rudders MkIV issues
further to this, I completely disassembled the sensor, gave it a clean. Still the same problem, I flashed the new firmware located in this thread, no improvement. I suspect a sensor issue, even after calibrating it the axis seems out of whack with the range not matching the movement of the pedals (ignoring the massive jitter)
