NXT EVO not being detected

Will do. I've sent a message on AliExpress, since that's where I ordered it. I assume that's the correct procedure.

In the meantime, I also tested the SEM with my Gladiator NXT (non-EVO) and all of the combinations worked on that. I guess it must be the EVO base.

I am also having the same issue trying to connect the SEM to the Left side of the Left Omni Throttle. With these problems, something must be wrong with the hardware.

Before making such statements you should consider the total number of units sold versus issues reported.
Please post photos with your units bottoms up, so we could see the connection between the 2.

Not necessarily. Could be an issue with the software which runs the comms bus.

Well after opening a ticket with this issue, I am happy to report that VKB came through pretty quick with a firmware patch that resolved the BUS3 issue that I was having and made it work. Glad it was just a software issue and not hardware related.

Good to hear and thanks for the update. The patch is out for a while now, but usually people don't update their threads after the issue has been fixed (and that's alright), so thanks again for that
