NXT Red Light Above A1 Stick - How to Extinguish Permanently

Hi Folks,

It's probably a simple fix, but I'm not sure I've seen it. I have an NXT with a Kosmosima grip. Everytime I enter my flight sim, the red light just above and to the right of the A1 eight-way thumb stick is lit. I have the A1 mapped to eight way views in cockpit, but it won't work if that red light is lit. I've found I have to press in the A1 stick to extinguish the light. Is there a way to get it extinguished period or at least until I reset the stick? Thanks!
