Gunfighter Mk.III SCG pro Z axis not working
I have had my Gunfighters for just shy of 2 months at this point. They were working great and I never had any issues with the sticks themselves until a couple of days ago. I have a HOSAS setup with identical left and right sticks (both gunfighter mk.III base with SCG pro grips, L and R respectively). The issue that I am having is the Z axis on my left stick is causing a communication error. When I am twisting the left stick, the green light on the blackbox turns red, and in turn, I am unable to use any other button the the stick. I have recalibrated, flashed multiple times (made sure it was correct firmware), even took it apart to ensure there was no issue with the magnet in the twist mechanism. All troubleshooting has been unsuccessful and have not been able to find information online of anyone with a similar issue, except the other forum post from today having problems with the Z axis (followed what they said would fix it, it did not). I have noticed it creates a 100% communication error only when I twist the stick, when all other functions work as intended otherwise. Only time an issue arises is when I go to use the Z axis on the left stick. Not really sure what more I can do and am at a loss since it was working flawlessly, then all of the sudden starting about a week ago with no change to anything, simply does not work.

Make sure the grip is seated properly on the base, press a bit on it while tightening the fastener. You could also swap the grips on the bases and test them. If the same grip creates same issues on the other base please fill up a service ticket for a new twist cable.

Thank you for that suggestion, that definitely narrows it down. I already had suspicion that it was possibly the twist module, wasn't 100% sure. Just flashed the other base for the left grip firmware, and it in fact is the same problem which makes me believe it is the twist module. I will add that to my support ticket

Most probably one of the 3 wires inside the twist module came off at the junction with the 3 contact pins. If you're handy with a soldering gun you could try to fix it yourself. They'll send you a new cable anyway.

That would make sense. I've never used a soldering gun and would just be worried to mess it up more lol. Replacing the module, I can do. When it comes to pcb's and after seeing how small that unit is in the twist module, I definitely don't trust myself to get that done correctly to give it enough longevity so I'm not back here in another month

No worries about soldering it then. Replacing the cable is a pretty simple fix and you'll be guided through it, no worries.
