I'm using the t-rudders for star citizen and they work great. However from what I can see you can only use them as one continuous axis. So while pushing right pedal accelerates, pushing the left pedal does NOT brake (or even decelerate) It just ceases the acceleration (which is the same as doing nothing)
Is there a way to set it up so right pedal accelerates, and left pedal is a separate input that activates the space-brakes?
T-rudder separate inputs?

Re: T-rudder separate inputs?
Interesting...It won't bind for that setting
I can bind for Throttle forward/throttle back (it is expecting an axis) but when I try to bind to forward strafe it just says "waiting for button type input"

Re: T-rudder separate inputs?
Sorry, the command you should bind it to is Throttle forward/back. The other one is digital.
You should get throttle forward when pressing on one side, throttle 0 when the rudders are relaxed and throttle backward when pressing the other side.

Re: T-rudder separate inputs?
Ok, but when I bind throttle forward/back it doesn't work right
Basically it comes down to this: What I want is to have my velocity stay the same with no pedals pressed, and increase on right pedal and decrease on left pedal
What I get, is speed is always 0 unless I'm pressing right pedal. To "maintain current speed" right now I have to keep the right pedal pressed at whatever velocity I want
I really do appreciate your help. I realize that "decouple" achieves this goal but then I'm decoupled in all degrees when I really just want forward/reverse to work this way
Again, thank you, and let me know if you can think of a solution

Re: T-rudder separate inputs?
You describe what Relative axis does, so it'd be easy to reassign the rudders axis as Relative, but not sure how you'd get back to center. Are you using the rudders independently or connected to a joystick's Black Box?
Re: T-rudder separate inputs?
I connected them to a black box and then into a usb port. Nothing else is connect through that right now

Re: T-rudder separate inputs?
Try this: set the rudders axis to Relative instead of Absolute in VKBDevCfg and press Set. Now it will work as you wish, but the problem is that you won't know when it's back to center; there is a function in native software to press a button to return a Relative axis to center, but there's no button on our rudders, nor any other device connected to it that could help.
So I would suggest to bind 2 buttons on your joystick as Speed limiter controls - the moment you want to stop you'll have to do it from the Speed limiter controls and not from throttle control. Hope that makes sense.

Re: T-rudder separate inputs?
Thank you I will try that!
I will admit the VKB config really confuses me. Here is what I see

How do I go about setting it to relative instead of absolute?

Re: T-rudder separate inputs?
I see "abs" in some of the dropdown menus. Do I change them all to "rel"?
Is there a video anywhere that explains this config? It seems like it could be extremely useful, but it's well beyond my understanding at this point

wow that is QUITE a read. I assume you grant me an honorary degree upon completion?
Thx, I'll let u know how it goes!

Re: T-rudder separate inputs?
Axis 7 - set it as Rel, then press the Set button under Action tab. If you don't like how it works you could set it back to Abs.
