Gladiator+sem+thq+fsm help

I have a gladiator, sem, thq, and fsm linked together. Having a hard time understanding the setup procedure. When I go to save my sem setup my landing gear leds are not on and do not toggle on when I cycle my landing gear handle. Also when I go into the software there is no thq listed at the top. Just gladiator and sem fsm. When I click on it then hit default, at the bottom there is no option to find and auto config. Another issue when I test my buttons, the thq isn't even being seen. Is this a subaddress issue? If so, I do not understand the setup for subaddress. I've got a lot of confusing issues going on here. Didn't realize all the stuff you have to do get these things to function.

Your firmware is too old and won't recognize the modules properly, so you'll have to flash to the latest. Please follow this walkthrough, but add a new step just before step 13: move the 3 throttles on the THQ too during calibration. Only after that you could press End Calibr (step 13).

i figured it all out earlier today. had the boot loader flash the unit and all the lights came on. all the buttons were functional as well as the axis. i unplugged everything to remount the units how i wanted them. tidyed everything up, plugged everything back in and now nothing works again. it doesnt even see the joystick. i went back through the same process of flashing the unit and still nothing. the light on top of the gladiator flashes when i replug it or when i reset it but then it just goes dead.the lights between the f1,f2,f3 buttons are flashing from blue to red but thats it.

Please write your configuration. Something like: the SEM is connected to the Gladiator NXT with a 3-to-4 JST cable, the FSM connected to THQ with USB-C to USB-C cable etc.

at this point i have the unit disconnected from the gladiator. just trying to get the gladiator working first. im guessing after i flashed it, its lost now so im trying to get that back thenadd my sem thq and fsm. as far as the configuration i have the sem connected to the gladiator with the 3 to 4 jst. from the sem i have the thq connected with a 4 to 4 pin jst. then the fsm is connected with a usb c cable.

when i reflash the gladiator and go into the config program i hit ddefault then find and auto config. hit calibrate and go to the axis tab. it recognizes forward backward side to side and the center throttle axis on the base of the controller but no buttons, no hat, and no rudder twist. still the light at the top isnt on. i dont know what the hell is going on anymore.

Check the grip cable, hopefully it's not severed.

its not severed. is there anything you suggest to get the gladiator back online? light on the top of the stick back on and fully functional?

Connect only the Gladiator NXT to USB, press the Default button, then Find&AutoConfig and post a screenshot.

I got everything to work now. I just don't understand why it wouldn't work the way I was doing it. I don't have a gnx usb in the sem or thq. Just the bus board. I wanted these units on the left side of my chair with my stick on the right. So I took the connector. Cut it, butt spliced the ends to a long cord. Ran it under my chair to the stick. Same concept, just longer. I had it all working like that before at one point. But someplace along the line after I flashed everything, the software saw my stick as a gladiator nxt kg12 is what it said in the top of the software as well as the bootloader. Tried it over and over. Finally I took the long connector off the sem (still plugged in at the gladiator though. When I flashed it it would still show kg12. So I pulled the plug connector off and reflashed it. Finally came up as nxt. So at this point I had just the stick working. Reconnected everything and refreshed it again. Right back to kg12. But if I mount both units directly to the gladiator and use the uncut 3 to 4 short jst connector and flash it. Then it works fine. I just don't understand why it would be seeing it differently just because it's set away from the stick and connected through a longer cord. I work in electronics and the only thing I can think is the signal is too weak over a longer cord with the added resistance and is somehow goofing up the signal marginally. I guess I'll just have to order the USB board and any other material I'll need in order to set it up how I like it with the Sem thq and fsm on the left side. I hate to say it but these things should not be this complex to set up. Great product all in all though.
