VKB Gunfighter MKIII EMI Psa

Moderators, please do what you see fit with this information.

I recently purchased a Gunfighter MKIII and MCG pro ultimate. For months I was having intermittent issues with high error rate for the base, occasionally resulting in both LEDs on the grip turning white. I recently discovered the cause of this issue.

When trying to manage my cables, I had looped the 4-pin cable that goes from the base to the black box around the USB cable from the black box to the PC. I had not imagined that this would cause issues, but in trying to troubleshoot I tried unlooping them and letting the four pin cable hang free.

Fixed my issue, where I was usually operating in the five to 25% range for errors, it dropped to zero.

I hope this information is helpful to someone, all this being said, great product and I absolutely love it.

Thank you for reporting on this! Question - when the white LEDs were turning on the grip was the Black Box rebooting too?

No, in fact there was no actual interruption in the sticks performance. The base was just reporting what seemed to be a high error rate in the "Test / External Device / GF Base" Communication ErrorLevel window. I was just very worried every time the LEDs would flash because I was assuming some component was faulty or on the verge of failing. But I can confirm that I played for another 2 hours today in DCS, and I saw no error rate. Really the only thing that changed since last time was the routing of the cable.
