Hi,
Today I received my upgrade packeges to NXT premium for left and right joystick.
Left joystick all well so far. Changed to 4-way stick, ministick and rapid fire trigger. Only thing, the ministick button does not get recognized as a button input. Instead of that the small red led turn on.
Is this right or do I need to configure in somehow in the VKB Device Config?
Right joystick I only wanted to change the thumb button to the 4-way hat switch. After changing I switched it on, but the LED kept off and only the axis were recognized, no buttons.
Do I also have to changed the PCB for the ministick or may the PCB for the 4-way switch be broken?
I chneged back to the button module and its working again as it was before.
thanks in advance

Re: NXT standard to premium problem/question
For right joystick: try again with the HAT switch; if only pitch and roll axes were working it means the grip wasn't properly connected to the base (electrically, not physical).
For left joystick: the ministick center push button is, by default, just a switch from POV mode to axes mode (when the red LED is on then the ministick is in axes mode, otherwise POV mode). If you want to, you could get a short button press to bind as a regular button and a long button press to swap modes:

Re: NXT standard to premium problem/question
Thanks fallout9,
Perfect howto to configure the ministick button, thanks for that
Regarding the right stick 4-way switch I have a support ticket too now. They asked if I received maybe package for wrong joystick, cause it looks like wrong polarity.
I doubt I have wrong package, as it fits perfectly.
I plugged in and out 2 or 3 times before posting here, I dont think its a connection issue. All pins were in place.

Re: NXT standard to premium problem/question
You're very welcome. About the HAT switch, I think the issue is around those bridge boards, are you sure all the pins are fitting the sockets properly?

Re: NXT standard to premium problem/question
Yes, its only about this board i guess. Old board went into it good and was fine again.
For new board was also no problem getting the pins in, but without button functions then.
I´ll try again tomorrow in daylight and keep you posted

Hi fallout9,
after several tries it finally worked out. Maybe sort of loose contact. Anyway, I will not touch it anymore
Thanks for your help
