Gladiator NXT not recognized after firmware update to 2.7.1

Postby me109 » Mon Nov 01, 2021 1:33

I tried to do a Firmware update for Gladiator NXT - GNX Premium Right.
I downloaded the most recent files (ZBootloader-C-v1_90.zip, VKBDevCfg-C_v0.92.06_.zip and v2_07_1-XT.zip)
After extracting the files I started VKBDevCfg-C.exe, it found the NXY and I proceeded to update the firmware.
On the bootloader software (ZBootloader-C v1_90.exe) if found the device and I selected the file (_Gladiator_NXT_v2_07_1.vkb) to update the NXT
The process ran all the way but the windows start showing the message "USB device not recognized" and the software do not detect the NXT anymore (bootloader or VKBDevCfg) the joystick flashes the red and blue lights (between the 3 buttons on the base) and when the windows error message show up they turn off.

I also tried the steps on this thread to "reset" the NXT with no avail (https://vkbcontrollers.com/?faq=is-ther ... kb-devices)
1-Close VKBdevCfg if it is currently running
2-Disconnect your device from the USB port
3-Gain access to the PCB (printed circuit board) by either opening your Gunfighter or T-Rudder Blackbox, or removing the base plate from your Gladiator
4-Launch ZBootloader; you should see this message: “Boot device: turn out”
5-Short the “Boot” pins (you can use the tip of a flat hat screwdriver), keeping them shorted until after the next step
6-With the Boot pins still shorted, plug the device back into the USB port (Boot pins MUST remain shorted during this process)
7-The ZBbootloader app will automatically recognize the device being connected to the PC again; you should see the following message: “Boot device: detected – OK”
8-Clear the Boot pins to ensure they are no longer shorted
9-From within ZBootloader, select the appropriate firmware for your device and click “Flash It!”
10-After successfully flashing, ZBootloader will automatically close and – if VKBdevCfg is stored in the same folder – it will be launched automatically (if not, launch VKBdevCfg as Admin manually)
11-From within VKBdevCfg, continue to calibrate all device axes

Please advise.
