Dear VKB Forum
I have created a profile with several customizations and buttons for my simulators.
Can I upgrade firmware and then simply Load again my saved config file?
My current firmware is v1.99A and I want to upgrade to the latest v2_02_5(2)
And my product is: Gunfighter Mk.III 'Modern Combat Edition 'Gunfighter Model: Gunfighter Pro-LGrip: MCG PRO Grip Labels: ENG
Thanks a lot!

Yes, you can. Usually profiles carries the calibration, but it's advisable to recalibrate after you load the profile over the new firmware.

BTW, if you upgrade the firmware don't forget to get the latest native software and bootloader.

Re: Firmware V2_02_05(2) vs 1.99A
My experience has been that new versions of Devconfig can tend to lag behind the firmware releases by a version or so. When running Devconfig look at the top of the Devconfig window and it will show the version of Devconfig and what version of the firmware that version of Devconfig has been tested to be compatible with in parenthesis. Not to say that using a firmware newer than that version won't work, but chances are it MIGHT NOT work. It just hasn't been tested for that version of Devconfig. So save yourself some hassle and use a firmware that's of that version or older. I've run into weirdness using newer firmware before I knew to check that.
Because of this my method for upgrading is to always do the Devconfig first. That way you know what version of firmware you can use with it. If the new version of the firmware is too new for the version of Devconfig you just updated to you don't have to bother with the firmware. The good news is these are updated at least weekly.
