3 - Number and type of springs used
Standard as shipped
4 - Тype of cams used
Standard as shipped
5 - If VKB original software is used, please always mention its version
VKB Device Config 0.91.22, Wizzo v0_93
If the question is in regards to joystick/pedals axes, please additionally post:
6 - Vkbjoytester screenshots. Download it here: http://ftp.vkb-sim.pro/Programms/VKB_JoyTester.zip
See attached
7 - Vkbdevcfg-c screenshots. Download it here: http://ftp.vkb-sim.pro/Programms/; make sure you're downloading the newest version.
See attached

While using the stick the twist access stopped working during a game. Now i have restarted my computer and recalibrated several times, but still on the VKB software i see no input for the twist axis.

I had this issue last year and it seemed to just fix itself, now i have it again. Could you please help fix this and explain why this is happening?

Your firmware is very old, please update both firmware and software from here(use VKBDevCfg instead of Wizzo). If it's still not recognized you'll have to open up the grip and see if the magnet is still in front of the board. This video shows what you should expect to find inside the stick.

Thank you for the help so far. I downloaded the software and flashed the latest version of the firmware but still no input from the twist axis. I also noticed that the dashboard on the VKB joytester software seems different from when I posted here last year there is now a value for both rx & ry (32767). Could this indicate something wrong?

I did have a look at the video you linked but its 20 minutes long and i don't exactly know which magnet you mean, if possible i would really like to avoid taking it apart as i didnt feel anything break and I really think there is some sort of software thing going on.

Show the Profile-Axes tab from the configurator after calibration.

Did the twist axis work on earlier firmware?
Try changing the MPL value from 10 to 11, write this to the controller with the Set button and then calibrate. Show again this screenshot for comparison.
p.s. add the lines to the zconfig.ini file as in the picture.

If nothing changes, you will have to disassemble the grip and check the reliability of the contact of the twist sensor loop. It would be nice to see the photo after opening the grip.

I did the steps in the config program and recalibrated, doesnt seem to have worked - see screenshot below to confirm if i did it right!

After i took the screenshot i changed the z config file and i can see some additional tabs etc. in the software

EDIT: yes the twist was working before on earlier firmware but suddenly stopped working, now i updated it to try and help fix the issue. I had the same problem last year and i dont think i ever worked out what the issue was, but it started working again soon after. Now its been about 8 months and i seem to have the same problem again

Opened up the stick and took the photos below. Magnet is in place and connections seem to be ok. I re-seated the main connector to the base, rebuilt it and recalibrated but still no detection of the twist input

From your last screenshot, I do not see that you have added the lines to the zconfig.ini file mentioned above. Check the spelling according to my screenshot.
Try to use this firmware. Do you have a multi-tester for continuity / voltage measurement?

Last screenshot was taken before config file update. See below screenshot after new firmware update which I think shows the changes from the z config file.

I dont have a multimeter/voltage measuring device so I can't directly test any connections.

EDIT: and there was no change and still no detection of the twist axis after installing the new firmware.

Try to remove Wizzo (and no longer install it) and disassemble the handle, reconnect not the main 3-pin cable, but the 4-pin cable with a twist.
The twist will work when the numbers here change after calibration.

You can try to roll back to an earlier firmware, remembering to use an earlier version of the configurator.

Could you explain what you mean a bit more with the cables?

So I leave the 3 pin as is. But disconnect the 4 pin and reconnect the other way round, so with pin 1 connecting to socket 4?

And then when I do it and recalibrate the numbers will change by themselves in the config software so it looks like your screenshot?

I advised you to reconnect the 4pin cable from the twist sensor in the handle and then recalibrate it. The numbers should change from 255.

p.s. I forgot to clarify - the buttons and the hut work on the grip, is there a response in the test?

It is possible to check the connection (loop integrity) of the twist axis sensor with the controller in the absence of any devices.

We make changes according to the pictures and as a result, JoyTester should have such a picture.
