What do you mean you might have pulled on the wire too hard?
I am having blinking red light issues too.
Only the x and Y axis are working nothing else on the F-14 grip GF base?
Thanks......
Ed

Re: Fast red blinking light on a Gladiator-K
Follow this guide to properly flash and calibrate your device, but instead of the firmware mentioned (which is for a GunFighter base combo) use the one in this format: _Gladiator_F14_vx_xx.vkb

Re: Fast red blinking light on a Gladiator-K
I just purchase this stick which came with the BLACK black box.
So I should re-flash the BB with the Gladiator F-14 not the MK2_GF_F14.
Okay tried that and I am still getting the BUS flashing red light.
When I go to External Devices the stick is still showing red.
The x and y axis work when trying to calibrate but nothing else.
Thank you for any info you can come up with.

Re: Fast red blinking light on a Gladiator-K
If you have a F-14 grip with a GunFighter base why would you follow and comment on a Gladiator K thread? I thought you got a F-14 grip and trying to use it on a Gladiator base. Obviously that's not the case so please follow exactly the link I've provided above and ignore the comment about the firmware name - your firmware is like _BlackBox_MK2_GF_F14_vx_xx.vkb (notice the MK2 in the label).
If you've followed exactly the guide and still have this issue take out the locking cylinders, put them back making sure they don't stick out and, while tightening the screw, press gently on the grip.

Oops I am sorry.
I will go to the correct Forum.
Also I will re-flash the BB to the Mk2 F-14.
See you over at the other Forum.
Thank you,
Ed

All good, but it'd have just saved you some time. How did it worked out?

Gunfighter MKIII Base F-14 Stick flashing BUS red light
Hello VKB,
I just received my beautiful new stick, but am having trouble getting it to work.
I am getting a Blue SYS light but a flashing red BUS light.
I watched the videos a few times and have flashed the BLACK black box to the correct software for this base/stick combo.
The 3 pins are making contact with the base as there are marks on the 3 pads to confirm this.
When I went to calibrate it, the x and y axis worked, but not the twist grip or the DLC thumb wheel and none of the buttons are working either.
I checked the connections internally and they all look good.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated as the stick feels great, and I can't wait to get it up and running.
Thank you,
Ed

Still getting the same result as stated.
I feel it's has to be something simple, but not sure what at this point.
So at this point I am kind of out of ideas?
Thanks,
Ed

Re: Gunfighter MKIII Base F-14 Stick flashing BUS red light
Most probably it's still not seated properly. Check this video (don't worry about other devices being present - the connector and the base stem are like yours, so it would be a similar way to seat it properly).
LE: could you please post a screenshot with the header of the software visible? Want to see the software/fm versions.
Also, are you sure you've pressed the Default button after flashing and just before clibrating?

Re: Gunfighter MKIII Base F-14 Stick flashing BUS red light
Fallout9,
Okay you are correct the stick was not seating at the base.
The 2 barrel clamps were not allowing it to go down all the way.
I removed the barrels and it seated correctly. I will reposition them and happy to say that I now have a green light.
Calibration when fine all the buttons work.
Going into DCS now to assign everything and take the F-14 up for it's first test flight with this beautiful new stick.
My apologies for any trouble I caused you today wasting your time on my mistakes.
Thank you and have a great day,
Ed
