VKB MCG HAT problem
Hat works when barely pressing the switch one way it triggers the right direction but when pressing the button all the way to end of its axis it triggers the opposite direction?
here is a quick video to show you my settings and the issue I'm having.

You should add lines to the zconfi.ini file, as in the picture.
Reset to default using the button in the configurator and then calibrate all axes.
If an existing profile is dear to you, then before these actions you should save it by clicking the Save button in the configurator.
Show the Global-External devices tab.

Re: VKB MCG HAT problem
I ask you to be more careful and only do what I recommend. I saw your incorrect settings from the video, so I asked you to do specific operations in that sequence.
If you open this document on the last page, you will see this.
And now compare my picture yesterday and your zconfig.ini. Adjust this file.
You have confirmed that after defaulting and calibrating (or did you not do it?), Everything works fine. But after loading your saved profile, the upper HAT does not work again.
Here are your mistakes.
The checkboxes are removed that the axes are centered and there is no calibration of these axes (255,255). But on these axles, differential brakes also hang, which is wrong.
I suggest, after resetting to default, to make screenshots of each tab for yourself. So that after a bad configuration or strange reaction of buttons/axes, it can be quickly compared with the working one.

Re: VKB MCG HAT problem
I thought I did everything you asked correctly.
I first added the lines to the ini file.
I defaulted my controller.
I tested the default settings after I calibrated.
Everything works in the default profile correctly.
What I have done in my own custom profile is 2 different things. I have made the POV 1 HAT a 4 direction HAT only I disabled the option to hold button in to make it an axis I do not wish to have a relative axis on POV1 I only want axis and no 4 way hat on POV2.
My toe brakes seem to work as I want them to in DCS they are working great. My POV2 relative Axis is working great also.
I made the Axis 3 and 4 connected to my toe brakes? this was the axis that was connected to my POV1 relative axis. I thought in order to have toe brakes I needed to remove 2 axis from my POV1 HAT and place them for use with my brake handle?
I think this is where my problem is?
I do not want a relative axis on POV1 so that is ok. I only want 4 way HAT on this POV1 but the 4 way HAT is not operating correctly in my custom profile.
I know I have something badly wrong in my settings the physical controller works fine in the default settings. Please what is wrong with my settings?
1. Basically all I am trying to do is keep POV2 as a relative axis that does not recenter.
2. Create toe brakes for DCS that are differential.
3. I only want POV1 to function as a 4 way Hat switch.
4. Create a Macro that my pinky button will still function as a joystick button #7 but also as a keystroke of my choosing? like Keyboard button ( })
These are the things I wish to do in the configurator I am just having a hard time with it.
I have tried to take photos of original settings and make only the changes I need. This is as far as I have come.
I am trying very hard to understand what you want me to do ?

Re: VKB MCG HAT problem
Take a look at this post and read the material on the suggested links.
The button is simple. Video here. We make it Tempo - short and long press. On the short one, we are left with button 7 (logical), and on the long one - your selected keyboard key. The 25 button selection is valid for the MCG grip, not the Pro.

Re: VKB MCG HAT problem
SORRY I AM A COMPLETE IDIOT WHEN IT COMES TO THIS JOYSTICK PLEASE do not get mad at me I'm really trying to get your help because I am lost!
ok I have been using those forum links.
I thought that I was substituting axis 3 and 4 from the POV 1 and using axis 3 and 4 for my toe brakes?
I do not want axis 3 and 4 on my POV1 how do I fix this?
I thought I had taken off axis 3 and 4 from the POV 1 HAT but I still have POV1 hat link to axis 3 and 4?
How do I unlink them?
Right now with my custom profile I am using axis 3 and 4 for my toe brakes and my toe brakes work fine. I want to keep it like this.
The only problem I'm having is that somehow axis 3 and 4 are still linked to the POV1
I don't want axis 3 and 4 linked to POV1 at all. How do I cancel this?
I'm using axis 5 and 6 for my POV2 HAT it also works fine.
POV1 HAT is my problem the toe brakes are not a problem they work good.
How do I fix POV 1? I only use this for a 4 way hat I do not use this for an axis at all.

Re: VKB MCG HAT problem
no matter what i try the POV1 hat is always not working properly unless I use default program? I do not know why?
Default program works fine but when i got to change it to exactly what the other profiles are the POV1 HAT does not function properly at all.

Re: VKB MCG HAT problem
I follow the instructions on your post but the POV 1 does not function properly still... I have followed the instructions several times with no good end.
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3570#p35007
toe brakes work good POV2 functions properly in both modes but POV1 does not work as a hat it's glitched
