Dear VKB,
I have an issue with a primary fire in my almost-3-years-old Gladiator MK II (which I love to death, by the way :> ). After I press fire and then release, it has issues with going back to a starting position. Like it remains behind a 'click' so it's extremely easy to activate it by mistake by barely touching it. I tried to loosen the screw that holds the plastic lever to lower the tension for the button on the way back and it helped a bit but only a bit and it's not really a solution. Besides, I suspect it's gonna get worse over time.
Does it mean that the button is dying? Is the button easily replaceable? Can I buy it somewhere and replace by myself?
I'd appreciate any hints on that.

Re: Gladiator Mk II primary fire button replacement
I had the same with my beloved MKII and I fixed it by putting 2 layers of electrical tape (just small patches) on the fire button (so the tape would be between the fire button and the trigger).
Re: Gladiator Mk II primary fire button replacement
It works! I had to use 6 or 7 layers, maybe my electrical tape is thinner. But now it works like new!
Thank you!

Re: Gladiator Mk II primary fire button replacement
Hello again,
The main fire button still works perfectly.
But... Is there a similar trick for fixing the HAT switch? The "down" button just stopped to work properly. The click became very weak, sometimes the press is noticed twice, sometimes not at all. The other three directions work fine, but I'd say they did 10 times less clicks combined than the "down" one. So I guess the issue is purely "wear and tear" related.

Any chances for a good trick here?
Or the HAT can only be replaced? Is it possible to buy a new one? My Gladiator is still in too good shape to just quit on it due to such a detail...

Re: Gladiator Mk II primary fire button replacement
To test the button operation, you need to activate the Poll checkbox in the Profile-Buttons tab. And after that, conclusions can be drawn about the next steps.

Re: Gladiator Mk II primary fire button replacement
OK, I did what you suggested. The outcome is the same as in games. I click the "down" direction and sometimes it's noticed, sometimes not. I can see that if I press the HAT exactly in "down" direction, it works 98% reliable. But if the direction is just a tiny bit off, the reliability plummets heavily to reach 0% at about 15-20 degrees from "down". It's not the case for other HAT directions, they do the click up to 45 degrees and more, to the point where two directions are pressed at the same time (like: "up" and "right").
Re: Gladiator Mk II primary fire button replacement
The replacement module arrived. Even though one of buttons is a bit askew so the reponse is not perfect, it works much better than the old one.
Thanks!
Thanks!
