Blackbox (orange) will not shut down.

Postby Catseye » Sat Oct 17, 2020 3:51

Hi,
Black Box (Orange)
Gunfighter Mk. III (Upgrade)
TM F-16 and F-18 grips
Latest Zbootloader, V2_00_7 - Blackbox_MK2_TMW_v2_00_7.vkb
Windows 10 fully updated

When I shut down the computer, the black box (orange) will not shut down. (Intermittent)
Sometimes on starting the computer, I will hear 4 beeps which indicates a hardware issue and the Blackbox will not start unless unplugged from the USB port and plugged back in.

Just installed: New motherboard, re-initialized windows 10, new CPU.

This problem also existed with the previous MB and still persists with the new Mb.

Conflicts?
Hardware?
Software?
Help please anyone.

Thanks,
Cats . . . .

BB still on after turning off the computer means your computer doesn't shut down some USB ports - try to set it up to turn them all off or plug the BB in one of the USB ports that are coming off with the computer.

Thanks for the feedback.

I have tried it in all ports in the current MB and in the previous one and the same issue is there.

I'm trying to find out why the port will not shut down intermittently. This makes me think of a software conflict using the same port?

TM had this type of issue and it was discovered that Microsoft Store was the issue. Removed store and voila, TM throttle shuts down fine.

Thanks again,
Will check bios and carry on.

Check those USB ports with a charging phone when the computer is off. Phone charging?

There is a USB power management in your computer BIOS settings.
