Communtion Error between Gunfighter Base and Blackbox Mk2

Hello fellow VKB peeps,

It seems my stick has developed a issue over the last few days. It seems it is no longer properly communicating to the black box. As seen in the attachments. Swapping the ends of the cable between my stick and the black box has helped how this now also no longer works.

I just kinda need confirmation if this is just the cable. I had it working yesterday evening for a couple of hours but the black box is now just blinking red this morning and the communication error levels in the device config are just 100% all the time now.

It is not clear what version of the GF database you have. Remove the bottom plate and take a photo. Is there any LED inside? Check for contact from the output connector to the board (depending on the version). Try reconnecting it.

I just reconnected it without sucess the gunfighter base is not connecting to the blackbox

there is also a green LED inside on a second PCB this LED is steadily green. The cable on the second picture is the one I disconnected and connected.

When the cable inside is plugged in, is the LED lit? Reset to default with a button in the configurator? Show the Clobal-External Device tab. I advise you to add lines to zconfig.ini, as in the picture.

Yes the led inside the unit is green. (to confirm there is only 1 right?)

You mean the one on the back near the connector? then yes that is also green and lit.

Try downgrading to earlier versions of configurator and firmware. Reset to default and check connection in Test-External devices.

So far, all suspicions fall on the connecting cable between BB and GF. If possible, try calling him. You can disassemble the connectors on each side and at least visually inspect the soldering.

Like I already thought It's the cable between the black box and the gunfighter. I just twisted it on accident and it's now properly connecting again with a signal error rate of 0-1%
