I am using this for Xplane 11.5 rc1, on a Mac os 10.14.6. I am getting continuous random activations for what is listed as button number #146 in Xplane. Even though the button is listed as "do nothing", therefore not associated with any action, in two recent aircraft acquisitions is sounding off like a switch activation. The random pattern sounds as if someone is typing, or someone nervously hitting a switch over and over again . In older, and most aircraft, the sound is not active, only in the two most recent plane add ons i purchased. I have over a dozen aircraft add ons, and as far i as ive tested its only occurred in the recent two. In the button configuration screen in Xplane i can see button #146 randomly being activated.
I was able to run VKB software on a pc, and as far as i can tell it seems fine, but im not well versed or experienced in this type software so i dont know, but ididnt see any random button activations.. It seems i can only post 3 screen shots at a time so i will send more in following response.
This stick is an upgrade from Gladiator mkII i had, and that one does not have the random activations.
I have contacted the devolper of one of the affecting aircraft, and he is baffled as we have tried everything he can think of.

Re: Gladiator K continuos random button activations
If it's happening only in 2 airplanes/modules from your collection it seems pretty obvious that the issue is game/those specific modules related. Especially if there's no input in the tester of the native software when you plug your joystick in.
Re: Gladiator K continuos random button activations
To clarify, Xplane button configuration shows that there are continuous random activations, i just found out about it because some aircraft are registering it as a switch sound, even though it is not bound to any actual switch or activity.

Re: Gladiator K continuos random button activations
Exactly what I'm saying - it's not from the device. The joystick is Windows based so it's stuck to seeing and handling a max number of 128 buttons. Xplane has all kind of unusual ways to handle connected devices; there are also mods like FlyWithLua that assigns devices and inputs in even stranger ways.
Again - to test your joystick for unwanted button actuations open VKBDeVcFg/Test/Buttons. If nothing lights up on the chart the joystick is fine and the resolve for this issue should be found on XPlane's forums.

Re: Gladiator K continuos random button activations
Okay, i will see what info i can get from xplane forum. I just find it strange when i connect my old Gladiator MKII that there is no issue. Thank you for your response.
