MCG Brake not recognised as button in DCS

Postby Low Blow » Sat Aug 15, 2020 22:55

Hi,

So I've followed the tutorial for VKB Device CFG on how to get the Brake lever on the MCG Pro to register as a button in DCS but it's still not working. I've checked the MCG Brake box, saved it, then go into DCS and the brake is only recognised as an axis, not a button.

Can someone please tell me what I've missed here?

Thanks!

DCS has a special binding category for axes and a different one for buttons. If you try to bind the button on the brake as an axis the game will read the axis only and ignore the button. You have to bind it in game as a buttons, if that is allowed by your specific module.

If you need an additional button that will work from the axis of the brake lever, you can go a very simple way.
Go to the Profile-Axes-Axes2Buttons tab and do as in the picture.
The slider will adjust the zone where our 29 button will work.
Try to move it and understand everything. Do not forget to write it to the controller with the Set button.

See attached file

I hope that helps, thats what I used after help from someone on the forum.
