joystick no longer listed in vkb config utility

i have a 2 month old scg on gunfighter mk3 base with new style black box. after latest win 10 update joystick no longer shows up in config and all buttons are greyed out and showing turned out in bootloader. Would try jumping the boot pins but cant find them.

Disconnect as many devices as you can from the system and kill all the background running utilities. Connect the joystick directly to the computer; try to change ports.
Do not try to flash if the device is not present in the devices box.

Try to launch Usbdeview tool (https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html).
Find VKB controller and uninstall it (File - Uninstall). Then reconnect it.
