POV2 Tempo in DCS

Postby grinder » Sun Jun 07, 2020 6:22

Hi,

I've followed fallout9's instructions (link below) on setting POV2 to switch between an 8-way hat and a microstick. It works well in the Joystick tester and in DCS control setup. But in game (F-18) it appears both are functioning at the same time. In DCS I've set the ministick to control the TDC axis (cursor) and gear and flaps when acting as 8-way hat button presses.

The problem is when I move POV2 hat partially (not to the extreme) it will slew the TDC cursor as intended. But if I move POV to the maximum, it will press a button as though it is acting like an 8-way hat. Pressing the tempo button does not seem to enable or disable the ministick or hat buttons.

This feels like a DCS (or me) problem, but I was hoping to find a work around. Now I have "tasted" how smooth the ministick controls the TDC cursor, I don't want to go back. But I see this as a chance to keep 4 or 8 button presses.

Hi Fallout9,

When I made my screen shots I realised I have mixed up the POV1 & POV2 settings. Once I fixed that it is working correctly. Sorry to waste your time, I thought I had checked everything before I posted.

Regards,

Matt
