A small observation.

Reboot -> red led blinks
Calibrate -> red led blinks
Choose gladiator ->no red led
Choose KG12 -> no red led
Reset to default -> red led blinks
... and so on

Ron61,
did you see the video?
I know its a bit long but i wanted to cover all the cases and show that I did everything...default, restart etc etc and that with the other grips the issue is not there

Re: KG12 problem - no buttons
Your mistake is that after multi firmware you have a device with an MCG grip written in your configurator and it is tied to 1 profile, but actually costs KG12. Naturally, no buttons will work on the grip.
Do it - put MCG and do Hard Reset.
1. Turn on the BB in USB. We are waiting for 3 seconds.
2. Close the Boot pins on the board (or press the button on the black BB).
We wait 3 seconds - the controller confirms the preparation by intensive blinking of the system LED.
We wait another 5 seconds - the SYS LED will turn off (at this moment the parameters will be reset to the default configuration).
3. After the LED goes out, remove the jumper from Boot (release the button on black). If you do not remove it, then after restart we get the bootloader.
4. We are waiting for the restart of the controller.
If everything is according to plan, we get a clean controller from scratch.
After you fill in multi (MCG stands) and after calibrating all (and the 9th axis of the trigger), you record the profile under default No. 1. You do not need to assign another number - this is done automatically.
And then you write to the disk this profile under a friendly name with the Save button.
Before changing the grip, park or turn off the BB. Although I do not. We put KG12 - turn on the BB or press the Restart button - the GF Vintage device appears automatically. In the upper right corner in the picture is profile No. 3.If this does not happen, reconnect the USB cable not with a button on the hub, but physically plug into the port.

Re: KG12 problem - no buttons
Ok i followed every step of your guide (i have the black, blackbox so only pressed the button and no short). With the MCG Pro, all went good.
But again after putting KG12, and physically plugging the BlackBox into the usb (i detacthed and didn't use the button on the hub) i have the same issue as before.
Also as before in global/external i have the Gladiator in profile 3 and not the KG12.
I also noted that I have the center led blinking red on the Blackbox and in the top right of the screen I have 1 and the usual MCG Pro device, and also i have err-state active in the top right.

Re: KG12 problem - no buttons
We found out that the grip is working and the problem may be in something else. Recommend:
1. temporarily disable all other devices, leave only BB.
2. Using the USBDeview program, remove (uninstall) our device (GF BB) - select the device and right-click on this item.
Reconnect to USB.
