Which Firmware?

Heya

I rec'd my BlackBox Tabletop Gunfighter Mk III Pro w/Twist ( SKU: 1204-TW-EN ). From the website description...

Gunfighter Mk.III ‘Modern Combat Edition’ w/ MCG PRO Grip (3-pin Rev.B)

– Twist Adapter

It came loaded with 1_98_6 so I'm not bothered to flash it with a new one just yet. I just had two questions:
1)Is the current archive of 1_98_F newer? I assume so as the file dates for the 1_98_6 are Jan 2020 and 1_98_F files are dated April 20th 2020.


More importantly...

2)Given the identifying info I have provided above, I'm a bit confused as to which firmware I''m supposed to choose. There are only two in the archive with _Twist so that narrows it down, but which one do I choose as neither are labeled MK III???

Do I choose:

_Blackbox_GF_MCG_PRO_Twist_v1_98_F.vkb

or do I choose

_Blackbox_MK2_GF_MCG_PRO_Twist_v1_98_F.vkb

I could assume it's the 2nd one, but with currency exchange and tax it's a $700 piece of equipment and I'd prefer not to bugger it up by assuming anything lol. Thanks in advance for any insight it is appreciated.

Your guess is right, it's the second one. The firmware is flashed into the Black Box; the base doesn't store any info, so the MK2 label in the firmware name does not refers to the base, but to the Black Box. The first firmware format applies to the original Black Box (the orange version) and the second to the latest Black Box (the black one), hence MK2.

OK, Thank you Fallout that's a big help as future Fwares will probably have the same name. MkII = blackbox perfect.
