Ever find your PC typing away on it's own?

This has happened to me a few times and I've always found my GF/MCG-Pro to be the culprit. Un-plugging and plugging the USB cable back in didn't help. As soon as the BB rebooted it'd start typing again. I'd have to go the shorting the pins to reset the black box and re-flash route to get it to stop....

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD

And we all hope that day comes! That's really the only reason I check this forum regularly. But I gotta admit after all this time I'm starting to lose faith. The Duke Nukem Forever comment clicked with me! I loved the original game and during the pandemic I rebuilt my hoopty PC just to play it again...

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD

I'm a GF early adopter and as big a VKB fan boy as any of you but over 4 years after the original announcement of this throttle project I gotta wonder if it's vaporware. Two almost identical twin threads going back all that time and... nothing. Well not exactly nothing. Quite a few other products ha...

Re: Could use help with VKB-Config...

Once you load a profile to your stick from the VKB software it stays in the stick memory. No need for the program to be running. You could take the stick and plug it into another PC and it will still work using that profile. Only time you need to run the software again is if you're switching profile...

Re: Gunfighter Top plate hole pattern

If I had to do that I'd make up a template using the top cover and transfer marks from that to the piece you want to mount it to. Don't really need drawings if you have the part. Drill the holes where you want, add fasteners, enjoy. Sounds like a fun project.

Re: Another Mk3 Ultimate Died

Not trying to hijack this thread but possibly another piece of the puzzle. I had a similar problem after upgrading my MKI base to a MKIII which involved swapping out a PCB that came in the kit. As soon as I put the grip on, I the stick went dead. Took off the grip, it came back. Turned out the probl...

Re: Cam and spring advice needed

If you do decide to take a swing at changing your cams, pay close attention to the order of the washers on the bolt holding it to the bearing as you take it apart. It's important because if you get it wrong putting it back it will affect how the cam face travels on the bearings or the action may not...

Everything fallout said. Follow every step of the sequence. It's important. And never ever try to use the windows gaming devices to calibrate these. It'll mess things up!

Re: How to Check and Set VID and PID for VKB Gunfighter Mk.III Modern Combat Edition

I had this problem with an older game where it just wouldn't see my gunfighter as the stick because of the order windows used. I tried unplugging all my controllers and plugging them back in using different orders but nothing worked. I think it had to do with the space ahead of the ID name. Why that...

Re: 200 mm extension bad connection

I'd take a closer look at the white connector inside the extension and make sure all of the wires going into both sides are secure. Intermittent problem sounds like something loose.

Re: Mk1 rev a Grip support?

Thanks for the reply. One more quick question. What about the Omni adapter extension, what that support rev a as well? Yaknow that's a great idea! Something just long enough to accomplish the connections, not really an extension. I have a RevA base too. That would save the hassle of having to custo...

Boolean function after a flash?

Had an odd issue crop up after flashing my GF/MCGPro to the latest FW the other day. I'm on 92.21 config and updated to FW 2.09XT. Flash went normally using the latest bootloader but when the stick re-started I immediately had odd crap happening on the desktop. A test revealed the stick was constant...

Re: Bought a second joystick - how can I keep BOTH "registered"

Nope. Can't be done. At least not as the firmware works currently. The firmware is configured to certain pairs of base and grip. You have to flash the right firmware so the base knows which grip is plugged into it. Switch grips? Got to flash again. I seem to remember some talk of a universal firmwar...

Re: MCG Grip keeps coming loose from Gunfighter 3 base

The good news is, judging from the marks on the fasteners in your pic--you're putting it together right! Or else those marks wouldn't be there. How you're managing to get that to come loose regularly is beyond me. As to the marks on the connection pads, they'd make a mark just by twisting the shaft ...
