Re: Slow support - how to contact VKB directly?

Once it's shipped it's out of VKB's hands. Updates will come from the shipping carrier. In my experience UPS doesn't appear to operate on a Sunday, at least for delivery. Today (Monday) is a holiday here in the US. I wouldn't expect to see any movement on your package sooner than very late tonight E...

Re: I cant screw the baseplate on my gunfighter Mk III

Looking closer at the pic, unless the lighting is really bad, is that thing even tapped? I'm not seeing any threads? Take another pic more from the side looking into the slot where that screw goes in. Make sure you get some light to be able to see if there's threads. If it's not tapped that would ex...

Re: I cant screw the baseplate on my gunfighter Mk III

Without mine in front of me I want to say the base is tapped for M4 screws. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Should be able to grab them at any hardware store. Length just needs to be long enough to go thru the plate and into the base. They can be a little long. The screws in your pic definitely loo...

Re: MCG Pro right roll axis randomly stops working

Still thinking some connectivity problem. He's only having issues with the axii coming directly from the gimbal. No brainer it's something there. I'd suggested checking for foreign metal objects on the sensor/magnet a few posts back. That the problem has spread to both axii after messing with the co...

Re: MCG Pro right roll axis randomly stops working

Ok so just to verify. When you're calibrating the stick are you defaulting it first? I haven't read where you said you had. Just asking as it's an important step after flashing. Not a bad idea to do if having problems like this. Also when you're checking is this before any profile is applied? Don't ...

Re: Configure virtual weapon selector HAT

I have one of my hats dedicated to weapons in IL2 . Without having it in front of me it's the low center hat. It goes like this: press left cycles number of rockets to fire(single, pair, all), press right cycles the bombs (right, left, both). Press forward fires rockets, back drops bombs. I think ce...

Re: MCG Pro right roll axis randomly stops working

Doesn't look like a software thing to me. The black box wouldn't cause this. It's a connection in the base. The roll input comes from the base, not the grip, so that helps narrow that down. The software can only work with what the sensors send it. That whole garbage in garbage out thing. Looks like ...

Re: Gunfighter mk3 w/ 200mm extension is losing connection

FYI be careful of cross threading that clamp assembly. You shouldn't have to do more than looseni it enough to release the grip or extension. Taking it completely apart is just unnecessary. There's a guy in another thread that's messed his up.

Re: Gunfighter mk3 w/ 200mm extension is losing connection

Hmm. Upon further review of this whole thread, after all the replacement that bazookaman has done still having this problem I'm now thinking about another gremlin and that one is a lot harder to track down. A broken wire. Maybe the physical connections are fine but a wire is broken inside the insula...

Re: Gunfighter mk3 w/ 200mm extension is losing connection

What is it that you're taking apart in the dark exactly? The grip from the extension or the extension from the base? The connections for both of these are identical, three little spring loaded pins contacting corresponding pads. If this problem is corrected by what you're doing, even temporarily, it...

Re: Subtle grinding on both axis (MCG Pro & Gunfighter rev. B)

Yeah well stuck is different! I thought you could at least get a part of a turn on it. If you'd taken it apart and now can't get it to tighten it sounds like you've cross threaded it. That's easy enough to do on such fine threads. Good practice putting it back together is to spin the screw backwards...

Re: Subtle grinding on both axis (MCG Pro & Gunfighter rev. B)

As to the grip tightener in your pics. It could be the first few threads are messed up and that's what's stopping it from turning further. A tiny bit of debris from the tapping process will stop it from continuing. Try removing the screw and threading it in from the opposite end of the tapped half a...

Here ya go. Goes thru the steps to assign a key to a button. Pay attention to the part about enabling the keyboard in the global tab. Don't do that and the stick can't type.

Re: OS Calibration

Devconfig is a powerful tool and admittedly not the easiest thing to grasp. It will allow you to do things with a button you never even thought of doing! Best way to learn it is to take little pieces of it and try to learn one thing rather than try to learn the whole thing. Most of it I've found int...

Re: OS Calibration

As Ron says, NEVER use the windows game controller applet for any management of the VKB gear. It's not going to work but it's not the end of the world either. The fix is simple. Run Devconfig. I'm not at my PC just now. There's a button on one of the tabs (tools I think) says something like make reg...
