Re: Gladiator Pro MKII & MCG Pro Ministicks

I'm glad you got it working. It was tough for me to wrap my brain around too, but it's quite satisfying when you finally get that thumbstick working. Those thumbsticks really are just about perfect for things like slewing a targeting pod, or making fine adjustments to thrusters in a space game. Abou...

Re: Gladiator Pro MkII + MCG (non-pro) possibly firmware bug

Oh I didn't know there was a limit, maybe that's it. I think with 24 it should be plenty. I just wanted all the buttons to be the same for simplicity sake so I don't have to worry about changing it for specific aircraft or games. With 24 that will cover the entire base and all the MCG buttons except...

Response Curve in DevCfg appllied incorrectly

Gladiator Pro MKII with MCG Firmware v1.94B VKBDevCfg 0.87.0.5 So one problem let to the discovery of another. My left thumbstick scrapes the edge of the circle (not the mostly-square box) at the top right and bottom left positions. This means it doesn't quite get 100% of each axis at those position...

Re: Gladiator Pro MKII & MCG Pro Ministicks

Also while experimenting, you might be interested to know that you can have the top button be a 4-way hat with a center button AND hold to toggle relative axes mode (and disable the 4-way, button press remains). Just set it to "Tempo B". You also either want to change the button number or ...

Re: Gladiator Pro MKII & MCG Pro Ministicks

This is interesting. Using your cfg file, the Gate ministick works as an axis in Elite Dangerous. I'd have kept it but the Master Mode switch no longer worked. I'm a little confused as to what you refert to as the "Master Mode switch". Are you talking about the feature where holding the t...

Re: Gladiator Pro MKII & MCG Pro Ministicks

The statement that DCS sees only 7 axes is somewhat controversial, even not so - is false... You are correct. When I was editing the axes in DCS I did not see a "slider 2" option and assumed it was not recognized. For whatever reason it is there now. It might be because I didn't restart D...

Re: Gladiator Pro MKII & MCG Pro Ministicks

Ok, here is my config file for the non-pro. It might screw up some buttons on the pro though, so you'll have to fix that, but the axes should be good. Note you have to re-calibrate as your stick probably will not have the same values as mine. This has all axes used except brake will not be seen by D...

Gladiator Pro MkII + MCG (non-pro) possibly firmware bug (Solved - # of Tempo limit was 16)

The default setting of the MCG works just fine as intended, but I want to set most of the buttons to be "tempo2", to allow an almost doubling of available buttons. On the base, everything is fine with it returning buttons #1 to #14 with short press and #15 to #28 as long press. The stick h...

Re: Gladiator Pro MKII & MCG Pro Ministicks

Dealing with another issue right now, but for the Gate (left thumbstick) hat, the axis is not available by default. This is regarding the MCG non-pro, but I assume it is the same with the Pro. Gladiator base has 3 axes > Throttle + StickX + StickY MCG has 5 axes > Gate X/Y + Trim(master mode?) X/Y +...

Re: CAM #10 too tight, does exist a CAM #5?

If you find the resistance too tight than use a weaker spring strength. #10 is the lowest. If you are referring to the way the force is very light at the center and very strong at the ends, that is just the way they designed it (so you can make very light corrections in the center). I only know of 3...

Re: Using #50 springs with Gladiator Pro and MCG

ok, that's the information I was looking for. I'm more worried about the base than the stick as it's the base that has to deal with the highest forces. I've only taken the metal plate off twice (first cam change and to tape wires that were rubbing/vibrating) and one of the four screws holes is alrea...

Re: Using #50 springs with Gladiator Pro and MCG

Bump.

I'm assuming by the silence that there is no problem or risk using the #50 springs with the Gladiator Pro. I guess I'll find out eventually.

Re: Future of "vintage" products

They were supposed to have more with the new MCG but they said the factory wasn't going to be able to meet the original date for manufacturing. I don't know how many they plan to produce, but I think they are trying to build up sufficient stock so that people can just order stuff normally without pr...

Using #50 springs with Gladiator Pro and MCG

I am currently using #20 spring on the roll axis and #40 on pitch with the KG12 grip. I find the pitch just perfect as it is. I have ordered an MCG and noticed that it will be a little taller, probably holding it one or two inches higher up. I'm thinking that this will result in the #40 spring feeli...
