Yeah appears to be an odd one. Been running my Ultimate Grip since Jan 2021 and not showing any signs of paint peeling. And I use this thing daily.

Yeah that is really odd especially as on mine only firmware 2.11.1 will show my Ultimate Grip correctly in DCS. Not too fond of it being reported as a MCG Pro Grip in DCS and especially would have to assign all my buttons again. Maybe the next configurator update will fix this, although seems to me ...

A little additional information - I tested each firmware revision I had access to: 2.11.0 - DCS recognized incorrectly as MCG Pro Grip 2.11.1 - DCS recognized correctly as Ultimate Grip. 2.11.2 - DCS recognized incorrectly as MCG Pro Grip. 2.11.5 Release - DCS recognized incorrectly as MCG Pro Grip....

Lol yeah no problem, I had to at least check it out. Thanks for letting them know, hopefully they can get to the bottom of this before it maybe affects more users.

You got me curious so I flashed back to 2.11.5 - and checked that, yes Ultimate was selected there. Still though DCS reports it as MCG Pro. Flashed back to 2.11.1 and all is well again , showing as Ultimate with my settings intact. Maybe a bug in 2.11.5? I should also add the first one I tried was 2...

Sorry I already resolved flashing with 2.11.1 firmware per Victorus suggestion above.

'2.11.0 gave same result, MCG Pro grip.
2.11.1 fixed me up - now it is listed as Ultimate Grip once again in DCS and settings intact, thanks so much!!

Is there a way to get previous firmware/software? I can only seem to find the July 5th release. Thinking maybe if I can roll mine back to previous firmware my stick/grip will be recognized properly again in DCS.

Well I thought it would work, apparently not. Guess I am going to have to set up all my controls for the Gunfighter in DCS again. Thanks a lot VKB. Just wanted a little Apache flying this morning , going to call it a day now. I should have never done this update so users beware!

Luckily I had recently backed up my DCS controller axis and button profiles so was able to import them in to the new stick ID so I escaped a bullet there.
But I really , really do not like this showing up in DCS as a MCG Pro grip rather than the Ultimate Grip. Strange.

Flashed it again to make sure I chose the Ultimate with Twist, and it shows it as such in VKB software. DCS still seeing as new controller as Gunfighter MCG Pro. What the heck.

Well crap. So exported my profile, flashed to the new firmware with new software, imported profile,now DCS sees my Gunfighter as a new stick - listing it as Gunfighter MCG Pro. I flashed it for the Ultimate Grip with Twist firmware.
Going to try again to be sure.
