Any electronic device might get damaged if it's under permanent vibrations; now it depends how hard it's vibrating and other factors, but probably you'll be fine. I suggest though to put a sheet of rubber between the throttle and mount plate, to act like a buffer.

Firmware version 2.16.5 is the latest stable. If you want to try beta firmware check here. Be advised that you'll have to match the firmware with software for compatibility.
