Re: Cannot find "Slider 1" - STECS Space Throttle System
By default it should be one of the axes used for MB1 ministick. If the ministick is not present the axes are just there.

You can program Selector's buttons as Generators; there are more options for the Generator function - experiment with it and see which one works well for you.

Re: SEM-V completely steath after failed(?) firmware flash
The SEM, like any other NXT module, can't work independently as a USB device - you'll either have to connect it to a Gladiator, like shown here, or upgrade it with a GNX HID Controller.

That's a coupler, needed if you decide to attach a THQ or a SEM to a Gladiator, like shown here.

Re: USB 8 AXES LIMIT
You don't have to lock any axes; if the native app detects more than 8 axes on a device it automatically splits it into 2 virtual devices. You can access the 9th axis on the Test/Axes panel, by pulling down the roll down menu.

It doesn't disconnect, it's restarting in bootloading mode. Just follow this guide.

Re: Problem with HOSAS in Elite Dangerous
Hi Commander, this is very specific issue and I am pretty sure that you would have more luck with an answer on FDev's forums. The audience here is more focused on technical issues with the hardware.
I personally play a lot of E:D, but I've never ran into this issue or ever heard about it. Sorry

If you already sent the ticket you should get all the replies on email and reply from there too, so you don't really need to use the ticketing system anymore.

Re: Button Changed Number Assignments Randomly
The throttle saves all info in internal memory and won't rewrite data without user input through VKBDevCfg. I suggest to reset to default and calibrate, just to make sure everything is alright with the running profile.

The Universal firmware, yes. But you still have to unplug from USB while swapping the grip, then reset to default and calibrate.

Re: Stecs wiring to fsm/gnx
Once connected as explained, you'll need to run VKBDevCfg, select the device at the top and click the Default button under the Tools tab. If you'll get a popup asking to configure, click Yes. Click Yes when the calibration popup/dialog pox comes up, calibrate, click the End Calibr button when done a...

Re: STEM + GNX THQ with GNX USB Controller
Yes, you can, but you'll need this cable too - the JST goes on the THQ main board and the USB C on the STEM.

Re: Stecs wiring to fsm/gnx
You can connect either the FSM or the SEM to the STECS by the included USB C to USB C cable (both FSM and SEM-V come with one of these). For the second device there are 2 options: either upgrade it with a GNX HID Controller and use it as an independent USB device or get a JST to USB cable to connect...

Re: STECS - MAX
Actually you don't need a new base plate for the Mini Plus, just disconnect the STEM, remove the MFH and you have a STECS Mini Plus. Don't forget to reset to default and recalibrate afterwards.
