Having issues with the throttle calibration, nothing showing when the throttle is moved but nothing recognised.

Throttle set-up in VKB Gladiator Mk11?
Recently bought controller for X-Plane 11. During settings, under 'calibrate' the controller - throttle on controller doesn't register, no matter which way I've tried.
Any suggestions to get it done or do I have a 'dud' controller?
