Re: T-rudder mod ?

I have two wishes for official add-ons. ⋅ Dry clutch / dampener. I have my own made, and it makes huge difference to flight, as I primarily fly helicopters, it is a must for ones that has trimmed anti-torque pedals. ⋅ A pedal switch. People usually want a second and third axis to...

Re: Is new Black Box MK 3 compatible with older sticks?

So one can buy STECS with Black box 3, and get all Gunfighter 2 and T-rudders Mk4 connected to that one box?

Second phase for STECS?

Edit, please mods move this to general discussion area. From the start, years ago, VKB made clear that TECS comes with three tier pricing, and two variants. We have now first phase out, with it's four editions. But nothing has been said about second phase AFAIK. We are still missing the electronic d...

Re: VKB T-Rudder Pedals Just Got Better

What I think being sad, is that mk4 and mk5 are not compatible with each others blackboxes. Meaning that now three different "Blackboxes"; Mk1 "Orangebox" Mk2 "Blackbox" Mk3 "Blackbox" Are incompatible with each others, and those does require own versions depe...

Re: What spring to use for helicopter cyclic with 200 mm extension?

Didn't require much testing to find out the smallest #10 springs are too strong for the cyclic operation. They do assist nicely in the center with some dry clutch tightening from completely loose, but the springs will pull hard from the >80-90% travel ranges. And it would require tightening even mor...

What spring to use for helicopter cyclic with 200 mm extension?

I have a small challenge about what spring to use and should I lubricate dry clutch or not. I use a MCG Pro with 200 mm extension for helicopter cyclic. And anyone who knows, the cyclic purpose is to be completely loose. Why one has the magnetic brake trimmer that will lock the cyclic in the positio...

Re: Gunfighter extension suggestion

I do agree. I would see this kind extension to have value of 89€ (the 200mm one is 58€ in EU with VAT) as it is just extra iron and higher curvature. Anyone could really make one, just buy the 10 cm extension, cut it and attach a wanted pipe extension between and solder the wires to pins and voila. ...

Re: Take On Helicopters (TKOH)

It shouldn't be different from the ARMA 2, as that is the game basically. The TKOH is the studios research game for improved helicopter controls. They don't really get to realistic levels but far better than what ARMA 2 was, that was from the original Operation Flashpoint. I have not flown the TKOH ...

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD

I don't use the UCM. I use a table-holder system from another manufacture and switch end of the year to a chair-mounting system. Better to make the grip rotatable or some forms of different mounting plates that will make self builders or sim rig's owner also happy. Why should the grips firm design ...

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD

That is what makes me sad always to hear again, and again....

As MCG Pro would be a perfect helicopter collective head for me for left side.

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD

Better. After decade with arc design and then buying TM 16000 for the throttle and the CH Pro Throttle, the rail design is far nicer to the wrist. All buttons and hats stay in place and arm position tells more accurately the throttle position then angeles in arc design. As well you get nicer and bet...

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD

While I didn't first hand like the base, I don't mind it looking as such as if it is matching with the NXT that you can pair it with it, then it is great as that should be the cheapest $200 model with tilting design and mechanical detent. For the linear design, that is where I am expecting more of a...

Mini-stick combo / tempo modes and switch timings

I have the MCG Pro that has two mini-sticks, one at the left and one at the top. I have the left one to work as two modes: 1) Mini-stick with button press (default) 2) 4-way hat So when I press and hold the hat long it will swap between those two modes. The top hat is similar way, but I have it as d...

Is the movement distance of the grip the same between arc and rail?

I hope not, as rail should really benefit from longer range of linear movement.
The arc allows longer movement than linear if you have extended throttle levers. But then you as well have larger arc to turn.

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD

Hello, "Not only grips are a separate module, but they also are built with modularity in mind.". I do not understand. Modularity : OK "separate module" ??? Does it mean that the grips are interchangeable (like the gunfighter and the different gips) ? Best regards Grips can be sw...
