On all pro Gladiators the lock mechanisam is metal. Like I said Im not the only one with this problem. What is irritating is that vkb stuff arent responding. Once you buy their product, specially if out of warranty, they just dont care...

That answer is from december 2018.

AFAIK there is only one avilable from VKB (the default one). But you can always take this one to some local hardware store or toolshop and I think you will find the stiffer one there. There are stores with good stock of the different springs.
