Re: Confused about upgrade path
I was considering updating my OG RevA GF MKI (upgraded to MKIII PCB), with MCG-Pro and 200mm Extension to the new RevC connection standard. Not looking like that's all possible ATM. Am I just missing it? If I'm not, will that be possible in the future? Thanks.

Re: Now that TECS and GF MK IV are (almost, kinda, sorta) here:
I'd be interested in the MkIV upgrade kit but wonder if it'll be compatible with my OG MkI/RevA base? I've had the thing apart more than a couple of times already having done the PCB upgrade from MkI to MkIII a couple of years back and other general maintenance. I've even had to switch up some of th...

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
I really wanted to wait for this throttle but over five years of "soon" was just too much. I've lost faith that it exists beyond paper. I went with the other V throttle and am quite happy with it. Just as happy as I am with my Gunfighter/MCG-Pro. Quality stuff. The primary reason I wanted ...

Re: MCG-Pro Trigger Function Lost in FW update
Thanks guys. I did figure it out on my own but this is where a changelog wth the firmware would be a great help or at least a time saver. Oughta be some sort of announcement about functions added, moved or removed in what is already a notoriously difficult, albeit super functional software to use. I...

MCG-Pro Trigger Function Lost in FW update
I actually discovered this a month or so ago but tried updating my firmware again along with the configurator (to v92.80) this morning and it reminded me. The latest v2.14.9(A,) shown as compatible with that version of the configurator, removed the trigger axis function on the MCG-Pro. Button 3 is t...

Re: VKB MCG PRO Gunfighter MK.III stick disconnects randomly
You're saying the base still registers but the grip is intermittent. Is that correct? If so, it sounds to me like the pogo pins on the base (the 3 pins sticking up) aren't making consistent contact. Press on each of them lightly. They should push down and spring back up. If not, that may well be you...

Re: GF grip fasteners coming loose / how hard do I need to tighten these things?
Hey just wanted to check in on this thread as I just took my stick apart yesterday. I have the OG Gunfighter base with the clutch adjustments that point down. I have it mounted to a plate I made wth holes drilled in it so I can access them without taking it apart but the pitch bolt was spinning and ...

Re: Cam wear after a week or two
I read somewhere that someone had suggested a blackhead remover. I haven't tried it but looked like it'd work and be hard to break. If/when my spring tools break I'll probably get one and check it out.

Re: Gunfighter Extension
It's not hard to remove or install. I'd advise against doing this repeatedly as I'm thinking that might damage the connection pins quickly. I have one for the same reason of increased precision and finer control. Why wouldn't you just keep it that way? Yes, I know the F-16 is a side stick layout. Th...

Re: Continued Macro Ticks Changing
Yup. Use the one's I'd set up for the same sorts of dot commands that would otherwise require typing. It's been so long since I messed with it I forget what I did to straighten it out but it sounds kind of like what you did. Thing is I don't think it always did this. It was just at a point I went to...

Re: Continued Macro Ticks Changing
Hiya NG! Still hanging around in AH for FSO mostly. Dabble a bit in IL-2 and MSFS these days. TBH, as this never appeared to get resolved, I just stopped messing with the macros once I got them where I wanted them. It was like playing whack-a-mole with the tick marks as soon as you scrolled the tab ...

While you're there, might want to pick up a new lock washer. Especially if yours looks flat. Don't go bonkers with the file either. It's probably just a tiny bit of material that's causing the problem.
