Re: Flashed w/ latest firmware; solid red light

I have the same issue, just opened a trouble ticket. I thought the lights on the Black Box were to indicate whether or not everything is working properly, not to be customizable. Don't know how new you are to these sticks but make sure you followed this guide when flashing. Every step is important....

Just noticed it's inconsistent. Showing two versions. See pic. No biggie but might confuse some.

Re: Can I still use my old Profile/Config that I saved before I Flashed new Firmware?

First things first. You're gonna have to get your connectivity issue straightened out before you can get calibrated. As long as that's still going on, your calibration won't hold. That and the calibration isn't tied to the profile as far as I know. Don't be averse to calibrating. It only takes a sec...

Re: X Axis Spikes and sticks...

The biggest difference is that the sensors on this stick are not the pots we all grew up with! With pots you'd get glitchy stuff going on with them. With the digital contactless sensors there's none of that. Unlike with pots there are no "bad spots" in the sensor. It's all or nothing. You'...

Re: X Axis Spikes and sticks...

Sounds to me like a mechanical issue. Like one of the ribbon connectors is coming loose. Try looking at the connectors between the gimbal and circuit board in the base. Even if nothing obvious is going on try unplugging and plugging them and see if that clears it. If not I'd be thinking maybe a brok...

Re: Can I still use my old Profile/Config that I saved before I Flashed new Firmware?

In most cases it should work fine. I recall having to recreate a profile once going from one firmware to another but then I've probably tried each of the betas as I've found them. The last several I've been able to simply apply my current profile no problem. As for calibration you MUST calibrate aft...

Re: [BlackBox] Problem while flashing the firmware - FIXED

Think of it this way. The black box is the brain of the system. Your base has controls in it. Your grip has controls also. All of these VKB sticks are designed to be modular so you can use many combinations of base and grip that run thru the black box on the way to your PC. Each different combinatio...

Re: Which comes First ? Plug Stick In OR First Install Software ?

If you haven't downloaded it already there's a guide to devconfig on this page :

http://ftp.vkb-sim.pro/Documentations/

Down towards the bottom of the list, 2_10 eng.

Re: Which comes First ? Plug Stick In OR First Install Software ?

In a nutshell, no you don't need to have the software running in the background while using the stick. The difference between Wizzo and devconfig is that Wizzo allows you to calibrate and set deadbands, etc., -- basic stuff. Devconfig will do the same but goes into far more detail. Devconfig is for ...

Re: Which comes First ? Plug Stick In OR First Install Software ?

Do not calibrate these sticks with windows! ALWAYS use the VKB software, either VKBDevconfig or Wizzo.

Re: Severe Gunfighter MkII Axis Glitches... Again

The grip should be tight on the base. It's a clamp basically. Regardless that wouldn't affect the x and y axii as they both come from the base. An easy thing to check is the little connectors for the wires going to the PCB on the base. You can get at them by removing the bottom cover. Try re-seating...

Re: brake lever gunfighter mk II

Here's the deal. These sticks aren't like sticks we've all known before. This is a completely different animal! You can't just plug them in, calibrate in windows and go. If you do that you're gonna run into problems like the stick not staying calibrated and things not being recognized (like the brak...
