Re: Gunfighter mk1x-axis problem!

I didn't mean to imply that you thought they should offer upgrade for free. I meant I do not believe upgrade was meant to "fix" this problem. However, it might help (positive cable connection reinforcement actually got introduced somewhere along the MK II timeframe - my first GF MK II was ...

Re: Gunfighter mk1x-axis problem!

Just FYI, I don't think there is any *intent* on their part to offer the MK III upgrade as a 'fix' to X-axis Mk I problems. I think occasional problems are just bad luck, no matter how well engineered, stuff happens. I personally am on record all over these forums with a Gunfighter MK II gimbal that...

The friction between your finger and the Hat.... basically how stable your grip is on it.

I think I can honestly say I have not had the same problem since my Mk III upgrade.

Re: MKIII Compatibility

I know fallout9 is the Canadian rep and should certainly know this all better than me, but I'll throw this out there anyway if only to elicit clarification if I'm wrong. Wouldn't there be an A/B problem (pins up in the base stem, vs. just the contact pads in the base stem) with the original KG12 grip?

Re: Pitch is almost linear - Rolls have a strange "pause"

This rings a bell with me. I have a MkI GF and there was an issue with the screws that held the grip base connector on the grip body working loose. That would cause something that looks like what you're seeing. As they're mounted on the side you wouldn't get that little spike on the pitch axis but ...

Re: Larger hats for MCG Pro

Possibly crazy idea - do you really want 'larger' or just want a little better tactile friction? Considered using a Plasti-dip matte rubberizer coating? You'd have to clean the plastic well for adhesion, and (obviously) mask the shaft where it attaches. I'd also be concerned that runoff toward the '...

Re: Gunfighter mk.II - MCG Pro grip - X axis twitching problem

please do reply if things crop up again. I'm pretty convinced the cleaning fixed me, but don't want to spread this as a suggestion if it turns out not to be real. On the other hand if it is real then I hope I'm helping and we can inform VKB also that this might be one of the suggestions to attempt i...

Definitely the V2 boards. It's your call if it is worth removing two screws to remove the X board just to look...

Mine had a silver sticker over the magnet so the debris being black should be pretty obvious if it is there.

Re: Gunfighter mk.II - MCG Pro grip - X axis twitching problem

Is this a first gen GF Mk II base from ~Dec 2017? You can tell from the circuit boards...should be labeled v2 I believe. I make no promises but my X used to act up too. I chased poor grip attach and cables a few times. Recalibrated. If I watched VKBjoytest curves after a login while actuating I coul...

Re: analog ministick = hat switch (space grip premium)

the weirdest part of it all is that when im at a space station or in a menu the game recognizes the mini stick and the hat as different inputs but as soon as im flying/ driving around it thinks the hat= ministick and viceversa. Sounds like you have some bindings overriding one another. There are so...

Re: How to tell the blackbox version (mk1 vs mk2)

Aside from the obvious housing differences, I asked this question and was told that the new Mark II Black Box has a slightly higher current capacity to eventually support multiple devices plugged into it. Otherwise no real effective functional changes. https://www.reddit.com/r/hotas/comments/e8357d/...

Re: Mk.III chipped PCB corner - safe to install?

Mine was like that too. There's no traces up there, and no screw needs to go thru that hole. I installed and had zero issues. The rest of the board is undoubtedly fine - you'd see an obvious crease line if the whole board had been deformed or slashed enough to damage traces, and your external compon...
