Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
get yourself a CM3 or a Super Taurus or an Orion, they're all good throttles and you'll like them. Yes that's what I am going to do, like tens of others already did. The only mistake on my side was waiting for so long. And after this "waiting experience" where they keep talking about tryi...

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
You're done waiting then because from everything they've said in this thread (and you've read the thread haven't you? You didn't just lazily post at the end of the thread without reading it did you?) VKB almost certainly won't give an estimate or any further news until it's pretty much ready to be s...

Re: gunfighter mk3 occasional flakiness
Yep, that's pretty much the way I mount my grip (MCG Ultimate). I don't generally dismount/remount my grip regularly but I did have a spate of doing that 6 or so months ago when I was experimenting with different springs and the contacts seem to be rock solid (my connector is the old Rev A pattern, ...

Re: Any way to "dampen" the spring in the Gunfighter III via VKBDevCfg?
Boom, my advice to track this down is to first loosen the dampers completely. Do you still feel some sticktion? You shouldn't. If so then something else is hanging up on the gimbal. You'll have to open up the base and make sure the roller bearings are moving freely across the cam--not sliding but r...

Re: Any way to "dampen" the spring in the Gunfighter III via VKBDevCfg?
I have a Gunfighter with two #50 springs on each axis and a 200mm extension and an MCG Ultimate on top. I have lightly greased the clutches and tightened them just a bit and there's no stiction and a nicely damped feel. Also, what do you notice immediately in terms of your flying etc with and witho...

Re: How to mount gunfighter to sim rig
Is that the same spec ally extrusion as MonsterTech do?
You might be able to mount one of their smaller horizontal pieces and then attach one of their verticals where your current black mount 'pole' is and use one of their plates?

Re: Any way to "dampen" the spring in the Gunfighter III via VKBDevCfg?
Not having to deal with 'sticktion' even with damping grease applied This is not the Warthog! The application of grease to that gimbal was only a sticking plaster. It was a generally bad design that is only suitable for cheap, light, plastic, 'toy' joysticks. I have a Gunfighter with two #50 ...

Re: Any way to "dampen" the spring in the Gunfighter III via VKBDevCfg?
as I don't like the feel of the friction they provide. You might want to consider using some damping grease (the inevitable recommendation for Nye Lubricants' Nyogel 776A follows, or their PG44A grease might be okay too). A smear on the inside of the dry clutches and a light tightening of the clutc...

Re: Most dissapointing product I've ever bought
This image might help with the grip mounting fastener: https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/449360367919824896/704924874270965770/VKB_Fastener_Install.png?width=453&height=850 The key is to get the surfaces (coloured red in the above diagram) aligned properly so they fully engage and squeeze...

To be fair, I was trying to given them a bit more rope.
Nothing like leading someone down a path whereby they confirm beyond doubt what a fool they are.

Of course unless VKB wants to ruin their business completely, in addition to failed websites & shops.
Eh? What?
Could you explain which 'failed websites and shops' you're talking about?

Re: VKB TECS: MODULARITY FULL AHEAD
We just don't know. From the pictures it's impossible to tell. Given VKB's love of modularity it's possible it could be both or rather, modular and swappable. They got enough mixed messages when they asked a couple of years back that it would be a sensible solution to the competing demands of DCS (e...

Re: Kosmosima and F-35 similarity / difference
Nah @fbar, you got it the wrong way round: Lockheed Martin used a time machine (the one the US government got from the aliens at Roswell), jumped forward a few years and stole the grip design from VKB.

Re: Star Citizen pilot requesting no-center cams for Gunfighter!
. Thanks for answering. If the spring system is similar, the possible solution would be the same for the nxt and the gunfighter - 2 birds are killed with one stone! In a direct mail, I have expressed my desire to return the nxt, considering a wrong design, the double spring system, despite consider...
