Re: Question for Star Citizen pilots

My concern is that if the stick twists while moving the stick, that torque could push my hand/wrist and the stick slightly and decrease precision. A stick with a reasonable amount of resistance on the twist axis does not twist without you applying that torsion force and I don't think it's likely th...

Re: Question for Star Citizen pilots

A lot of the bias they have against twist is that manufacturer do a HORRIBLE job at it by having low resistance, which in the heat of battle can be activated by accident. Even the Non-Pro Gladiator has a horrible twist in terms of resistance. The Saitek X-55 / X-56 however has a very good twist tha...

Re: Question for Star Citizen pilots

Not sure if "TheNOOBIFIER1337" has an account here or will see this thread so I'll suggest his series of videos for some idea what some dual stick SC players use: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZcv1kmz26ustJj9AuDkGDArE-Xu2UmpH He actually has a custom made left hand stick, see: ht...

Re: Question for Star Citizen pilots

But what i know, i dont care much twist on stick, to work well, it needs quite alot deadzone and that kills precision on twist. Why the large deadzone? I have the VKB Gladiator non-pro and when I was setting my deadzones I reduced them to the minimum that the hardware would support, that is to say ...

Re: Question for Star Citizen pilots

I might get off my ass and shoot a quick video of using the T16k in action in Elite (lots of rolling required due to restricted Yaw rates) to a) show how easy it is to fly a twist joystick with zero z-axis bleed, and b) show how accurate it's possible to be when incorporating twist and pitch to rol...

Re: Question for Star Citizen pilots

I am an Elite Dangerous player currently using a VKB Gladiator and CH Pro Throttle. I am a Star Citizen backer but I don't play because my gaming time is somewhat limited and I want everything I do to count towards something, just messing about in a beta doesn't really interest me. I used the follow...

Re: Gladiator: Noticeable "jiggle" with stick centered?

I notice the Mk.II has arrived with an improved centering mechanism. So.. - Presuming the Mk.II gimbal resolves this centering/wobble issue. - Presuming a kit could be produced to upgrade a Mk.I. Then producing and selling these kits would be a good step. Offering them at a reduced price to Mk.I own...

Re: Gladiator: Noticeable "jiggle" with stick centered?

I have the same wiggle on mine (Gladiator, non-pro)

I think it's the same as in this post:

Re: Questions and answers

Actually I´m satisfied with my Conbra M5. Just the yaw axis, the potentiometer is flickering to the left and its getting worse. Me too, and me too. My yaw has an intermittent fault whereby it no longer centers correctly. I have to add a 20% deadzone to stop it drifting. Then, the fault will go away...

Re: Questions and answers

Well, I think that yaw axis centering will not be improved as it is just a potentiometer. Current solution you applied (a dead zone) is good enough. Ah, I thought one of the upgrade options included new parts for this.. new sensors (MARS)? Sounds like the existing potentiometer is not replaced? In ...

Re: Questions and answers

I didn't find that software either. Only references on several forums, so maybe some users still use it. You can use the VKB JoyTester to get the resolution info (from any connected device). Cool, thanks! Edit: So.. - The M5 I have (revB/3rd ed) has a step of 64 - so is 10-bit. - My CH Pro Throttle...
