Re: VKB: Creeping Changes Update (STECS)

Was coming here to be 'that guy'. Kind of disappointed they aren't both available at the same time.

Re: VKB: Creeping Changes Update (STECS)

This is the one I did - well, my son did it from his high school engineering class which has a 3D printer to play with, I don't own one. I used the one with the little indicator for the mid-point position on the axis. Up means it is in the center. Depending on what control(s) you use it for you migh...

Re: VKB: Creeping Changes Update (STECS)

FWIW there are some excellent stl files available out there to replace that knob (which I agree, is pretty bad).

It should say MK1 or MK2 on the product listing.

Re: VKB: Creeping Changes Update (STECS)

Any update on then the replacement grip will be available? Was hoping to get it during the sale so I can save some on other items I want to purchase at the same time.

Re: STECS Throttle Thumb Knob

I gave up on splitting the axis, and just set it up as Axis2Buttons with 3 zones. Zone 1 I'll map to zoom normal, Zone 2 I will ignore, and Zone 3 to zoom in slow.

This gets what I want with less changes in VKB I think.

Thanks though!

Re: STECS Throttle Thumb Knob

I got it to give me 2 axes, but while one traveled only during half of the knob range as I wanted, the new axis moved for the entire length, not just half.

EDIT: Disregard, on the linked image the logical is on bottom not the top (like it is in my software).

Thanks!

STECS Throttle Thumb Knob

Is it possible (and how would I do it) to set this control up so the 'front' half of the range is a normal axis, but rotating to the 'back' half of the axis instead throws a button press? I want to use this axis to control Zoom in DCS, but instead of the back part being 'zoom out' I would like to ha...
