Re: I am an idiot - need help!
MFH is really for desktop use. Not sure it would mesh well with a UCM-based setup.

Re: zlink subshift not working
That is a fairly large firmware discrepancy. I am not usually the person who recommends updating, but... Wait, you are the person who downgraded for stability reasons. I do not want to send you on a hunt for the perfect firmware, but I would like to check if subshift over vkb-link works with somethi...

Make sure that if HIDHide is set to hide the sticks, vkbdevcfg is whitelisted for access to them.

Re: How to setup T rudder Mk5 with Gladiator MK2?
The Mk5 pedals are not compatible with legacy Gladiators, just like they are not compatible with older Black Boxes.

Re: Gunfighter IV SCG malfunction
Yeah, expected as much. That is what the OP1 file is needed for to fix things. Unfortunately, I cannot help you with that, only VKB staff has access to the tools needed to correct the device signature. Now for the buttons and axes... if the device has been completely defaulted/autoconfigured and the...

Re: Gunfighter IV SCG malfunction
If it was possible to flash black box mk2 firmware to your black box mk3, that sounds like yo had one of the early models with incorrect device signature. The firmware version 2.15.1 also supports that assertion. You will need help from an official VKB agent to get that fixed, unless the Blackbox Mk...

Manual versions are also not synchronous with firmware versions. Modal switches are present in firmware 2.16. They have only been documented in manual 2.18.

Re: STECS Max with UCM-S Technical Upgrade Question
I recommend including a long bus cable - the website does not mention that one is included with either the plate or the back cover, and you will need a cable to connect the two. Other than that, I do not know if you have leftover M3 fasteners in the range of 15-20 mm or so - maybe there are some in ...

What would "this website" be? vkb-sim.pro does not operate a webshop that serves non-Russian-speaking markets, so that would probably be a regional distributor like http://flightsimcontrols.com/ https://www.vkbcontrollers.com/ https://vkb-sim.com.au/ https://aliexpress.com/store/3023007 Ea...

Re: Usb c data cable from STECS to STEM
Your best bet is with a USB3-capable cable, as the VKB bus interface repurposes some of the extra pins on those. USB2-only cables have no extra pins, and repurposing USB2 pins would have risked damage to all included devices.

Re: Faulty Black Box
In that case, your ticket with the shop you boughtbit from is probably your best bet. I can think of no user-servicable issue that would cause a black box to get hot unless it is something like bent pins on the bus connectors or loose metal inside the device - both of which would be painfully obvious.

You may need to check En and Vs on logical axis 9 under profile/axes.

Re: Faulty Black Box
The box should not get hot. Try running it without the pedals, and if it still does not show up in Windows, try pressing the sys button shortly after plugging in the USB cord, and holding it for about 5 seconds.

Re: STECS STEM & UCM
VKB uses an internal bus sytem for their grips and gunfighter bases. It runs on 3.3 V and UART serial - that is most widely supported across various chips, especially the STM32 line VKB uses, and works with a very low pin count that keeps connectors small. Since all VKB sticks already have that inte...

Re: Cable between STECS base and STEM Module on -STECS Throttle System – Max
If not, I have had good experience with

joining two cables together (e.g. the 40 cm cable and the included 28 cm cable), but VKB does not recommend it because longer cables means less stable power and higher risk to signal integrity.
