I had this error message when flashing my device. An error occurs with the windows USB assignment. Just reboot the computer after flashing.

None of the axis were working. It didn't make sense. At some point I uninstalled the mouse. That resolved it. Afterwards I reinstalled the mouse software and it is still working.
