Re: Problem setting up virtual brake behavior using VKB-Link
A little follow up. Depending on the simulator and the aircraft, you may need to reverse the output of the axis. For example, in the DCS F-86F if the new axes are not reversed then the brakes are active all the time until the button is held down. Reversing the axes makes the bakes active only while ...

Re: Using VKB-Link/Z-Link to mimic the T-Link virtual brake behavior.
As per a discussion with Alex Oz, in Step 4A you enter the number of the rudder axis in the button profile. In this example, button 123 is setup as a trimmer and in the Axis field you enter 4 which is the rudder axis:

Re: Problem setting up virtual brake behavior using VKB-Link
That is so excellent! Thank you so much. I tried it already, but just o be sure, is it true that the "Virtual US over USB" does not have to be checked and none of the registers had to be activated? I think the real solution was to indicate the rudder axis in the first virtual axis. If that...

Re: Problem setting up virtual brake behavior using VKB-Link
I am just trying to get the virtual toe brakes to work with the T-Rudders. The T-link program (both 0.7.5 and 0.7.8 versions) recognizes the STECS #12 button as in input and says that the rudders are connected, but the virtual left and right rudders do not show up in any program. The newest T-link v...

Re: Problem setting up virtual brake behavior using VKB-Link
Thank you for all your help once again. This is getting way above my head. I've attached the new profiles.
I do have a Boolean shift function, as per the original instructions.

Re: Problem setting up virtual brake behavior using VKB-Link
Button 12 is assigned the SHIFT so I selected Reg#2.
Does the Reg N have to correspond? Still no virtual axis activation.

Re: Problem setting up virtual brake behavior using VKB-Link
I set the Generic Virtual Reg N to 1.
The virtual axes do not respond. Should they?

Re: Problem setting up virtual brake behavior using VKB-Link
Yes, I had Global SHIFTs set already on (it's mentioned in the the instructions post). Now I have Virtual BUS and External Device checked for both STECS and rudder, with Global SHIFTs checked for rudder only.

Re: Problem setting up virtual brake behavior using VKB-Link
Thank you. Checking Virtual BUS over USB did not change anything. I checked it in the STECS first, and then in both STECS and rudders. S1 is still being indicated but the virtual axis do not activate.

Problem setting up virtual brake behavior using VKB-Link
I am trying to set up virtual braking behavior on my t-rudders using a button on my STECS (#12). The SHIFT is sent and received but the new axes are not activated. I have followed the instructions at "VKB-Link/Z-Link guide: Sending SHIFT state from one VKB device to another" [ http://forum...

Re: Setting up the STECS 5-Way Mode Switch for DCS
Thank you - the SYNC function is awesome! Now I don't have to worry about where the knob is set.
For the DCS "Switch Modifier" system to work the toggles have to be set as "2 buttons". It works great!

Re: Setting up the STECS 5-Way Mode Switch for DCS
Do your set of toggles send a press when turned off? That is the key to getting DCS to work. In DCS you press a key to turn on a switch modifier and you have to press a key to turn it off. My process sends two presses for each turn of the dial. If the dial is on 3 and I turn to 4, it sends both a 3 ...
