Re: Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem... again.
This is directly after calibration. What values do I manipulate, so I can force the Z rotation to have full range?

Re: Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem... again.
I can honestly say I've already done that. Had the software rediscover the joystick as well, even flashed the software. Still only stops at those values as I described.

Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem... again.
Since November after I got a new part that had the magnetic sensors for the Z rotation, it had been working fine up until now. Then, as I detected the same glitch I had before, creeping it's ugly head up again, I re-adjusted the magnet, and re-calibrated. As for right now, the z rotation is smooth o...

Re: Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem
Ok... so to conclude the issue with this topic, I received the new PCB replacement components, and after installing them, they fixed the issue.

For the heck of it...

But as I said... it's still malfunctioning.

Re: Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem
No they did not... not this time. No matter what I have been trying... no amount of software tweaking or physical manipulation of the magnet is fixing the issue. I appreciate the time you took to help, but it's got to be a hardware issue. I got in contact with tech support via email and they will se...

Re: Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem
So to sum up... I: -Was told to level the magnet, and ended up getting it working, but at a limited range. -Was told that the magnet should not rest against the sensor board, and I adjusted it so it would not touch the board, and it went back to being borked. -Calibrated it multiple times to no avai...

Re: Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem
Didn't know what that tab meant exactly.
That being said, the green line did not move at all. It remained at 0.

Re: Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem
I just went into the controller to make sure the magnet was not touching the board, adjusting it a little, and now... it seems I'm back to square one... it's screwing up again, same as the last vid I posted... I already have the latest firmware and config software, from July. I will try to flash the...

Re: Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem
I calibrated it just before taking the screen shot. I clicked on Default, went to global and selected Find and Auto Config, went to the test tab, clicked on Start Calibr and moved the joystick around on all 3 axis and rotation. Then clicked on End Calibr, went to profile and took the screen shot. I ...

Re: Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem
So the question now is, does the magnet have to be lower into the housing than in the picture... flush with the plastic ring to have the proper range?

Re: Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem
Did that not long after I put it all back together. After the calibration, that's what the values were.

Re: Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem
Ok... so... was definitely a magnet thing... after leveling it out and putting things back together, it's stable. The only minor thing I think I can live with, is that the Z rotation range has become slightly limited. The VKB Config test shows a left twist range of 4,800 above 0 and a right twist ra...

Re: Gladiator NXT Right Standard - Twist axis problem
I eyeballed it as best I could. Looks level. Don't know if it's going to touch the board or if that matters at all. Gonna put it back together and pray.
