Re: Not sure which firmware to use.

https://sites.google.com/view/njoy-32/home Firmware/Software deposit with all the latest versions of both. Also has older versions available. I probably wouldn't advise using the *very* latest ones from there as they might not function properly with some devices - should be safe to take the "s...

FIY re Gunfighter fastener screws

Since I managed to sheer off a screw-head the other night while trying to *really* tighten down my extension's fastener, I was looking for a replacement. Went to the local HW-store and they actually sell the ones you need (I did bring the fastener and an older screw along to make sure I got the righ...

Re: MCG PRO Trigger button not working

Thanks again, Ron.

I updated both the firmware and VKB Config (2.18 A and 93.17 (3) IIRC), re-calibrated, tried to load my old profile .... and everything was back to working normally. I was on 2.18 and 93.01.1 before so perhaps a bug or conflict in the older firmware and/or config-app?

Re: MCG PRO Trigger button not working

EDIT: Misunderstood you there so scratch what I wrote before.. :D I don't think I ever changed that setting on any of the previous versions of VKB Config I've ever used. However: This is how this version of the app now looks for me right after I start it: VKB Conf 93-01-1 startup.jpg Here's what my ...

Re: MCG PRO Trigger button not working

What would I do without you Ron? :) Like I said: I *think* I went about this the wrong way with all those "Set"-presses while making my changes. Especially since now it seems to be working as before when I used the method I described above (make all changes in one go, and only then press &...

Re: MCG PRO Trigger button not working

Deleted a whole bunch of stuff in this post that was *probably* redundant. Only question I have remaining is: Will pressing "Set" after making some changes/settings to logical buttons etc, then continuing to make more changes, press "Set" again after those are done and then press...

Re: GF grip fasteners coming loose / how hard do I need to tighten these things?

Checked the fastener with a piece of paper, and the two halves seem to be only touching the gimbal/extension stem, not each other. There are markings in the metal on both the left and right piece where they "bite" into the gimbal stem.Which is how things should be, AFAIK. VKB rep suggested...

Re: GF grip fasteners coming loose / how hard do I need to tighten these things?

Thanks Ron! Do you have any thoughts about that "male" pad inside the grip moving around like that (as shown in the video I linked?) It can be moved around both "horizontally" and it will also "tilt" a bit when I touch the pins with a toothpick. Is this normal behavior?...

Re: GF grip fasteners coming loose / how hard do I need to tighten these things?

Hope the files I attached are enough. The Zip contains three photos, two of the extension (upper and lower) and one of the gimbal's stem/rod and contact pad. Note that this was taken after I had replaced my gimbal's old contact pad with a fresh one, as the old one was a bit scratched up. Also: While...

Re: GF grip fasteners coming loose / how hard do I need to tighten these things?

Going to necro this one as the misfires have started up again - but only after I had upgraded to the MCG Ultimate. After my last post in this thread, the problems with the MCGP never came back, but once I had the Ultimate installed, I was getting those misfires again. And just like with the MCGP wit...

Re: MCGU buttons started to act unreliably

After a few days of trying to avoid having to replace the contact pad, I just had to do it. I've had three or four longer sessions since I bought the Ultimate and during all of those, I would always get those "phantom buttons". Sometimes it would take an hour of flying before a "misfi...

Re: Button not always working on MCG grip

You never know... :D I've had connection issues with my original grip (MCGP), which went away after I had received a new fastener from VKB and started to *really* tighten down that fastener with a good quality t-handle hex-key. Then I bought the MCGU-grip a week ago and when I mounted it on the gimb...

Replacing the gimbal's contact pad

Since I'm still getting some phantom button presses while gaming (happens rarely, but it is annoying in a dogfight), I'm starting to think I might have to do this. Before I do however, I want to make sure I have all the parts here that I need. A VKB rep sent me a replacement pad last year because he...

Re: Button not always working on MCG grip

Might be a connection problem between the grip and the gimbal. See this thread: http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=8147 You might want to start by checking that your grip fastener is tightened down properly. Also check VKB Config for the quality of your connection. Ron describes how t...

Re: MCGU buttons started to act unreliably

I almost feel bad throwing all these questions at you Ron, but if I should forget it later: Thanks for your assistance.. :) Anyhow: I shot a short clip of me constantly moving the stick all over the place while the "camera" was running. There was one 10% spike in there, but, sadly, I have ...
