Well, after doing more research, I found a solution to the problem. I created a virtual STEC with the VKB config tool, and now I can use the buttons that are numbered above 32.

Howdy, Just wanted to let you know I got the firmware updated on my VKB Gladiator NXT. I used a Windows PC to do it. Apparently, the VKB software doesn't like Linux at all. Same exact results.

As an aside, the stick works perfectly on a Windows install, so I'm reasonably certain the problem is with my Linux/Wine software.

The stick is a "VKBsim Gladiator NXT R v01.11 Lite", according to the Bootloader.

I was attempting to flash it with this file: "Gladiator_NXT_v2_14_A.vkb"

I recently upgraded my operating system from Linux Mint 19.2 Xfce to Mint 21.1 Xfce. Now my Gladiator nxt pro doesn't work properly. My wife's laptop is running Win 10. I can try it on that I suppose. Before I do that, I thought I might try unplugging the throttle and the rudder pedals and see if it does it on my Linux box with just the stick running. I'll give that a try and see what happens.

Thanks for the timely response, fallout9. Changing the USB ports doesn't seem to have any effect on the situation. The only thing that works is to "escape" out of the game, and then reboot the game. It comes back online when I do that. If it wasn't for the fact that I lose anything I've do...
