Re: Bought a second joystick - how can I keep BOTH "registered"
Understand... And I will see if can/not get used to that flashing-procedure after changing grips. I must say that after flashing my F-14 grip when I got it, I haven't used the VK Device Conf much any more - so I am not really familiar with this software. I have taken a look into the link, you provid...

Re: Bought a second joystick - how can I keep BOTH "registered"
Thanks for your reply! Too bad! But at least I now know, that I am not missing anything here... Guess I'm not the only one with more than one grip, so something like a common firmware would be great not only for myself but others, too.... If one of the mentioned gurus would give their view, that wou...

Bought a second joystick - how can I keep BOTH "registered"
Hi there Sorry, maybe it was my bad, but I couldn't find an answer to this: I just got my second stick (MCG Ultimate in addition to the F-14 on Gunfighter Mk III). I can swap the sticks ("cold" - USB disconnected while changing) and then have to flash the "new" one (each time) - ...

Anyhow the information in that thread was great guidance and motivation to take apart and reassamble the electronics in the extension...

Re: F-14 Stick - DLC-wheel possible to "untighten"
Thanks, fallout9 - I'll open it and have a look... From the video (yep, I sure know that one) you suggest that I open up the two halves, instead of having a peek under the "door" held by the 4 philips screws (right under the DLC-wheel), correct?
Thanks a lot, mate!

F-14 Stick - DLC-wheel possible to "untighten"
My F-14 stick's DLC thumbwheel does not return easily from its rear position (return from front position is much faster/more easily). Feels like it's "tighter", "bound" or something... Is it possible to "release"/"untighten" the spring mechanism (or grease/lub...

Re: VKB F-14 Stick - Trim moves without touching the Coolie Hat
Okay, seems that I got it sorted: after seeing this thread http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4776&start=15 , I dismantled my 200mm-extension - made sure all connections on the extension's base-end had good contact and re-assembled everything... "My problem" didn't show ...

Understand - willdo. (Actually now - and after getting to know the DevCfg a bit better - I understand the procedure you are proposing...)
Thanks again - and once more: sorry for hijacking your thread, dangerzone.

Re: VKB MCG3 POV1 and POV2 random inputs
Update: I didn't have too much time over the weekend to check and try out things, but I took the grip off the extension to check the contact pads for marks. This is what they look like: IMG_2902 (002).jpg From your experience, do they look "normal"? (In my view, the pad in the top right of...

Re: VKB MCG3 POV1 and POV2 random inputs
Sorry, dangerzone for hijacking and this deviation... fallout9 , yes, I enlargened the hole - actually I drilled a second hole a little offset to the original one into the grip's plastic base. Seeing the size of the contact-pads (due to their looks I called them "nuclear") the grip's pins ...

Re: VKB MCG3 POV1 and POV2 random inputs
Just out of curiosity, what does that "Comm Error" show/report? It shows if there errors in communication between grip to base and base to bb. Green is fine, high red blocks is not. Thanks, fallout9 . That report shows a few peaks (up to yellow) when moving my grip to its extremes: blips....

Re: VKB MCG3 POV1 and POV2 random inputs
From your description, that so VERY MUCH sounds like the trouble, I have been experiencing and reporting in my thread here: http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=5374 I will try to repeat your tests/findings for my set-up (VKB F-14 on Gunfighter III and 20mm extension) and add it in here...

VKB F-14 Stick - Trim moves without touching the Coolie Hat
I have already been asking this in the "General"-section of the forum - so, sorry for repeating, but I feel it rather belongs here and I may get a better support by asking my question in here. In DCS (in the sim's Controls-Settings) I have assigned trim to the VKB stick's coolie hat. After...

Re: F-14 Stick in DCS - trim wanders
Update: yesterday I had same issue again. Not AS bad as before, though: trim just went to the right - actually it WAS at the right side from one moment to the other, not wandering. I tried resetting the trim by using the coolie hat - but nothing happened! Found out that Alt-Tab works well with the s...
