Whilst I get this is an issue Am I the only one that thinks this looks really good? like authentic good?
I'm not helping at all here I apologise but I just rather like the look of the heavily worn/used metal.

I have my Gunfighter with MCG Pro setup how I like it finally (t-rudders included) I've just updated the new vkbdev but considered, do I need to update the stick firmware?
can I leave it as is?
if I do update, can I simply load my saved config from earlier or am I looking at re-creating it?

I've just received my Gunfighter III and my cams are in a pretty bad way, very similar to yours. I think this is likely a manufacturing fault of some kind. I've raised a support ticket, even the Avia-H ones in the bag are showing signs.
one of my rollers is also showing issues so that'll be fun too.
