Re: MK IV Black Box no longer recognized.

I did what you said fallout9. I connected the MK and then ran the VKBcfg thingy butI didn't hear windows reckognize the device. I checked device mgr. and it wasn't there. I unplugged the USB., and started over again. This time, I started the VKBconfig first, and then I connected the MK and BINGO, th...

MK IV Black Box no longer recognized.

I turned on the MK IV and nothing happened. Nothing shows up on my monitor. My stick or black box or both are no recognized. The light above the button is flashing red and blue. The right side of the box shows 2 yellow led lights not flashing. What happened? How do I reset the black box etc? I have ...

Re: Best cam selection for prop driven olanes.

Hi fallout9. I have my MK IV properly calibrated. The issues I described are not applicable to all aircraft. I just want to know what cams are installed at your factory, and how they affect prop driven combat aircraft. I was hoping someone here has IL 2 and either the Gunfighter MK 3 or MK IV and wh...

Best cam selection for prop driven olanes.

My preferred combat flight sim is IL 2 Great Battles. Having the new MK IV with the stock cams, what cams are recommend for prop driven planes? What sre the stock cams that are pre installed on the MK IV? WW 2 aircraft are so different than modern jets etc.I would like to know what other combat simm...

Re: Multi color power cable in MK IV base.

It's like you're reading my mnd DeadWalking. I DO plan on some kind of a "Frankenstein"build. I'm thinking maybe add a couple of magnets to increase the feel of heft and weight of the aircraft when in combat. I don't know where to start though, so any ideas or tips I can get from Gunfighte...

Re: Multi color power cable in MK IV base.

You are right DeadWalking. The only reason IS because of potential issues. Like I said, I have 2 sets of the MK 3 and I just feel better knowing I have some parts readily available. No matter well the MK IOV is built, all the cams etc. etc. wear down over time and also depending on how much time I s...

Re: Multi color power cable in MK IV base.

I am talking about the outer part of the MK 3 base where the multi colored cable connects to a tiny processer type board with the other end of the cable being the one I had issue with. It's the part of the base that is set aside when changing a cam etc. I want to set my MK IV part of the base that h...

Re: Multi color power cable in MK IV base.

Hi DeadWaliking. The "shell" portion of the MK 3 base that has the multi color cable connecting to the "shell" or outer frame of the base looks exactly like the MK IV cable connections. Can I put the spring, cam etc unit into the MK 3 base frame? Know what I mean? Please let me k...

Re: Multi color power cable in MK IV base.

Thanks for responding DeadWalking. I might have gotten lucky. I have a buddy that's a Jeweller, and he says he can reconnect pins etc. no problem. He took a quick look at the MK 3 base and he thinks the cable is swappable. He "Thinks" it will work if needed. I have no intention of swapping...

Multi color power cable in MK IV base.

I wanted to change springs, and when I tried to reconnect that flimsy cable to the base, I broke it. I think I yanked it out to hard as a couple of those tiny pins were pulled out. I have the Gunfighter MK 3 base etc. Can I use the cable from that base? I couldn't find it for sale iin the accessorie...

Re: MK IV spring placement.

You're probably right DeadWalking. I thought the changes in the new MK 4 would require different spring and clutch tension etc. Also, I paid a shit load of money for it, and wanted to make sure everything I did was proper. Thank you for your response and advice. I'm going to leave the 50a springs in...

Re: MK IV spring placement.

fallout9 please. I'm ready to go except for the spring numbers to use and where to connect to pegs. I want to us 4 springs that best work with the 200mm extension. I'm also using the WW 2 k12 grip [twist option] which is not very heavy. What number springs to use? 50a on each peg or 50a and 40 or 30...

Re: MK IV spring placement.

I had 2 #50 springs on each axis on my MK 3 and had no problem. The MK IV has a different base and I wanted to use # 50 on the inner peg where the spring connects. Then I want to put a # 40 on the oute pegs. Is that the right way or should I reverse that and put the 40 to the inner pegs and the 50 o...

Re: MK IV spring placement.

I guess a better way to ask the question is I am using 40 and 50 springs on each axis. Which one goes on first, the 40 or the 50. I know I can use two 50a springs on each axis, but I think I'm defeating the purpose as each one has a bit of difference in length. The inner spring placement looks short...

MK IV spring placement.

The set up with my new GF IV is going smoothly, but I need to know where to put springs. I have the 2oomm extension, so I want to us a 40a and 50a on each axis. Where is the best place to install the 50a. On the outside or nearer to the centre or middle. Same with 40a. What spot to put them in. I'm ...
