button suddenly not recognized
Hello, I have a Gunfighter 2 ,with an MCG grip. When I was flying in a sim today one of the buttons on the grip suddenly stopped being recognized. It's the gray 4 way button that rests in the thumb position (sorry I don't know its button number). I have been using this button relentlessly to recente...

dry clutch nylon pad relacement
I recently tried to re-grease the dry clutch on my Gunfighter mk 2.When I tried to pull off the nylon pads under that are the circuit board, the nylon pads seemed to be fused together & stuck on their pin. I was afraid they would break if I pulled them apart. So I tried to put grease on the barr...

Re: Gunfighter won't calibrate
OK, I have reconnected everything. Now I'm trying to follow the instructions for re-flashing after downloading the latest blackbox firmware & cfg file, but got a message that my device is running on old firmware. Now , running the bootloader seems to be stuck on the "Device not ready" ...

Re: Gunfighter won't calibrate
I have double checked all of the connections , Black box connection , the grip to the base, the circuit board connection. Everything looks good. Is there anything else I can check?

Re: Gunfighter won't calibrate
The mcg grip is on an extension that I never actually removed. I only removed the extension with the grip attached from the base. The grip still seems very secure on the extension though. The extension also seems to be seated & secured on the base now. Could it be a faulty cable from the base to...

Gunfighter won't calibrate
I just changed the springs & adjusted the dampers on my Gunfighter mk2 with MCG Pro & now I'm having trouble getting the joystick to calibrate. I've done this before & was able to calibrate OK afterward, so I don't know what went wrong this time. The black box has both the red & blue ...

Re: maximum spring strength supported for Gunfighter mk 2
Thanks for these links. I think I'll try re-greasing the dampers. Is Nyogel 767a still the most recommended grease? Anything cheaper that's as good?

Re: maximum spring strength supported for Gunfighter mk 2
Thanks! That brings up something else I don't understand though . What is the function of the springs vs. the dampers. Which will give me more fine control & smoothness?

maximum spring strength supported for Gunfighter mk 2
Sorry if I should have found the answer to this question already on the forums, but I'm still unsure . If I have an extension for my Gunfighter mark 2 , what is the maximum spring strength I should use ? Also, what is the best way to get smoothness of motion around the center of stick movement? Is i...

Re: how to use POV hat for trim buttons
Thanks for the answers, I really appreciate it. I didn't realize that all I needed to do was a long press on the center button of my POV switch! It works great in DCS. It works OK in IL2 also, but it's hard to have fine control of the trim on an axis in IL2. I'm still a little confused about using t...

Re: how to use POV hat for trim buttons
OK, I calibrated with the VKB device config. I have the MCG grip. The Gunfighter model is mk 2. I don't know if it's important, but I noticed during calibration that axis x doesn't move, it stays all the way to the left and axis x & y always stay centered. What do I need to do next?

how to use POV hat for trim buttons
I'm not sure where things went wrong, but ever since I unplugged the stick and replaced a broken spring on my VKB Gunfighter pro I haven't been able to get the DCS controller set up software to recognize my POV hat switch assignment inputs as either an axis command or non axis button assignment for ...

Re: a little confused about firmware upgrade instructions
OK , thanks very much! Seems like in this case they should only refer to the color of the black box & leave "Mk2" out of it. I got impatient & updated to the Mk2 firmware. If I redo the process , hopefully it will just overwrite .

a little confused about firmware upgrade instructions
I want to upgrade my firmware for my MCG Pro Gunfighter & watched this VKB Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBW0P1mlGno. The video says to choose your firmware by picking out your particular grip. The MCG Pro with the "unlabeled" original orange colored black box is one c...
